My 7 Plus and iPad 10.5 are on 11.3 b1 and running very well. There are a few bugs, but nothing that stops me from using my devices. Already reported. Both my devices feel quicker and smoother on 11.3. I can tell the difference.

Looking forward to future betas.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but this now happens when tapping on a song title while playing a playlist-

Are you not on T-Mobile? That is apparently who has changed to this and is what most here have been discussing. If signal goes to 3 bars it drops wifi calling and refers cellular, so its being said by others in this thread and apparently a change from how TM was working. But other carriers (Verizon ad ATT) have always worked that way. So to force it AND to make it stick you flip on AP mode then enable wifi again and leave it.

[Edit] I see the other posts now and you are on TM. So thats why you are seeing the change. TM has changed it to work like everyone else I guess. But I am surprised that you get 4 bars and it doesn't switch back to cellular. Or that it drops from 4 to bad enough to need wifi calling in certain areas in the same apartment. Anyway leaving airplane on will stop that if you start seeing that happen.

See my pic its very random tmobile wifi calling. Its on now and it goes from 3 bars to 4 and wifi calling stays on and it can drop down to 1 bar and wifi calling will not turn on by it self! Its def a bug so everyone knows and i can force it to hve LTE and wifi icon by turbing airplain mode on and off again and wifi calling wil stick

with T-Mobile when i enable WIFI before, WIFI calling would always turn on and u would see the ICON, as of this beta one, you need to have VERY poor cell quality before WIFI calling kicks in. I just found a little BS work around to make it work like it used, until they fix this POS feature.

I think this is the new intended behavior. Verizon and AT&T both have a threshold for when the phone switches over to WiFi calling instead of the macro network. There’s really no reason to use WiFi calling if you have a good signal, WiFi calling was designed to be a band aid for poor coverage. It seems now that t-mobile has improved their coverage as much as they have, they are willing to try putting some of their users back on the macro network, presumably, t-mobile feels that would provide a better experience.

It seems that they fixed most lag on the system. My 6 Plus used to run like garbage and now it’s much better. But content blocker sometimes doesn’t work.

Hi all.
Still, Iphone 6Plus here. Constant re-booting while using FB Messenger dedicated apps.
Also, cpu always on max frequency now, 1400 Mhz.
From previous v11.2.5, cpu stays immediately at 1127mhz (100 battery level) then at 50 battery level, hits 839MHZ.

the bars can show 3-4 bars, but the way my apartment is, i get dead spots. So even though it shows stupid 4 bars, i get choppy calls or my calls go into voice mail

I realize this might not be something you want to do, but if you call T-Mobile they will send you a cellspot for free. I live in a very old brick building in which very little cell signals exist. They were happy to send me one. No monthly fee or anything like that.

Now, on 11.3, unless I’m in an area with poor coverage, WiFi Calling doesn’t even connect. I’m ok with that.

It takes about 20 minutes with an existing iCloud backup. And you should always create backups before going onto a beta. And you shouldn't be on a beta if the burden of managing it's quirks, bugs and other issues that may occur is too big a hassle for you.

For all we know, half of the people may not be using backups/not understand what a beta is (which I know both of). Also, people could be doing a FULL restore and set up as new to move stuff over, not restoring from backup.

I cant believe my ipad pro 10.5 multitasking so so soooooo smooth ! Thanks apple .

Anyone else having trouble getting Messages in the Cloud to work? I don't even have Messages as an option in my iCloud account settings so I can't even turn it on. When I installed the beta I did not have iCloud Backup enabled. I do have 2FA enabled. I have since enabled iCloud Backup after reading on here that it was required. I forced a backup just in case that was needed but so far nothing. I have rebooted several times and nothing. I do recall getting a Messages in the Cloud splash screen the first time I opened the Messages app after installing the beta. I do not recall what it said but there was just a Continue button at the bottom and nothing else like a Turn On or Turn Off choice like I've seen others post. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

AirPlay 2 is amazing, its exactly what AirPlay should have been all along. This is exactly what I have always wanted. I can't wait for Sonos to update my speakers to include AirPlay 2 so I can directly control everything within iOS instead of having to go into the Sonos-app all the time. Don't get me wrong, I love Sonos and what if offers. I replaced all my AirPlay (v1) speakers with Sonos and it gives me much better flexibility and much better speaker managements, grouping and multi-room.

But using Apple Music within the Sonos-app doesn't compare to using the actual app, not at all. And its rather fiddly to always have to use the Sonos-app for controls and the app itself is such a battery hog for no apparent reason. I'm currently testing AirPlay 2 to three of our rooms as all three have Apple TV's in them running tvOS 11.3 BETA1 and grouping and everything is so easy directly in iOS. When the Sonos-speakers get updated with support for AirPlay 2 I will basically never have to use the Sonos-app ever again for anything else other than setting up new speakers and firmware upgrades.
