Can you now swipe to delete conversations without getting the iCloud prompt?

No, it is not possible
[doublepost=1517956901][/doublepost]
Can others test these to see if they have been fixed since they been lingering since 11.
  • Keyboard keys become blue when text is pasted in the text field of WhatsApp, especially for URLs (Since iOS 11.0)
  • Widgets jump up then goes back to normal position after device restart (Since iOS 11.0)
  • Unlocking the device causes keyboard to disappear for a moment if keyboard is left open before locking the device (Since iOS 11.0)
  • Widgets and search bar overlap during call (Since iOS 11.0)
  • Emoji keyboard has duplicate emojis in Frequently Used tab after resetting the keyboard settings (Since iOS 11.0)
I actually don't even have these issues.

Blue keyboard - yes
Widgets jump - no (I have only 2 though)
Unlock device, keyboard disappears - yes
For the other 2 I cannot answer now, it is too late to make a call, and I don’t use emoji keyboard

That's not what the post you quoted said. Anyway, if it appears with iCloud Messages turned off, it must be a bug.
I’ll make it easy for you.
And this is the prompt you see when attempting to delete a Messages conversation with ‘iMessage in the Cloud’ turned OFF:

Ok, so, installed on my 6S+ which i've owned from new September 2015, battery health reporting maximum capacity as 84% and says "your battery is currently supporting normal peal performance". I'll give it a day or so to calm down then look again. lol. Other app's always report 80% health and on previous iOS, it was always CPU throttling.

Not that this is necessarily the thread for it, but I’m wondering what’s gonna happen if I turned ‘iMessage in the Cloud’ on.

For me, personally, I never keep Message conversations on my iPhone...but I’ve still got every conversation I’ve ever had on my iMac.

When iMessage in the Cloud is turned on, will

A) all of the conversation threads on my iMac be deleted because there are no threads on my iPhone...

Or

B) all of the conversation threads from my iMac will suddenly appear on my iPhone.

Basically, when one device contains all of your conversation threads and another device contains none of them...how does iCloud determine what happens?

In battery health option, click learn more and there is explained how battery management works on 11.3!

I can't get in my message app. It's been loading for 10 min. I rebooted and still no luck

Same here. And going into settings/messages I can’t log in either. Gets stuck on verifying.

Messages app is just blank and unresponsive.
Seems messages loading is a known issue with this beta. Perhaps that is the issue for you guys? Perhaps some long message threads dating back for some time?

Neither will happen unless you have your Mac on macOS 10.13.4 beta.
Also, as of now, it seems that only messages you create after you’ve enabled iCloud messages are being synced.

Any improvements to the Books app? On beta 1, Books is all kinds of messed up on my iPhone 8. I manually sort my library and I couldn’t even move books within collections - whenever I try dragging a book to a new spot, it just snaps back to the spot I’m moving it from as soon as I let go...

Throttling is off in this beta until your phone experiences the shutdown issue. Then it comes on and you have option to turn it back off if you want.

(Note: Devices updating to iOS 11.3 will initially have performance management disabled; it will be reenabled if the device subsequently experiences an unexpected shutdown.)

Is this a public beta yet? I am not being offered beta 2 yet.

And in a related question.... would it be a good idea to post the status of each beta (dev, public, OTA, etc.) in the first post of a new beta thread? It would eliminate questions like mine ;)

The main MR story always updates when public version is added. And no the public is not avail yet. Probably tomorrow.

Seems like it would make sense to have the status (either way) in the first post. That way no one has to remember that it is not a public beta until it is described as a public beta. Especially when we have (so far) seven pages discussing a beta that is not yet available to us peons.

Seems logical to me, but then I majored in communications... ;)
