It's not removed, it's just automatically disabled and will only start if your phone shuts down unexpectedly. You can turn it off though.

Fwiw, my 7 with battery health ~87% has yet to experience any shutdowns, and it's not being throttled. It had been throttled prior to 11.3b2. I've even run Geekbench at as low at 13% charge and seen no signs of throttling or shutdowns. (See my separate thread.)

The fact that the message bug is still there in 11.3 beta 3 after Apple "fixed" it is ridiculous. iOS 11 is so broken that even Apple struggles fix it. Hopefully they address it before the end of the beta cycle. And the Weather widget too.

I don't know what is wrong with mine but I haven't experienced this or any of the other reported problems on my 7+. I think people definitely have legitimate problems but I also think those people have to remember that there are some (like me) who have no issues. This beta has been the best of any so far since ios 11 started.

EDIT: I take that back, I just noticed that I have NO lockscreen music control unless I swipe up, this is for Spotify.

anyone having issues with the phone abruptly shutdown with power management disabled in iOS 11.3? Just curious.

If you have the power management disabled you run the risk of that happening. The power management feature is supposed to prevent sudden shutdowns, but only if it is ENABLED.

Does anyone have problems with Apple Music in this beta? All my playlists seem to have disappeared on my iOS devices. I can still see them on the Mac though.

I understand that, my question is anyone experiencing these sudden shutdowns with power management disabled. Wondering how prevalent it is amongst the beta testers.

No issues here on my X, have you tried restarting?

I'm not really experiencing those issues either (I think my widget may have got stuck once on this beta) but I know it can be frustrating for those who have them constantly.

Is anyone having random shut down, restart, and boot loop issues?

The problem I'm having is on a iPhone X VZW 256GB SG, and usually when I'm connected to power, the phone shuts down, shows the Apple logo, and restarts/boot loops a few times before actually booting up.

It also sometimes happens when I'm doing a couple things at once or sometimes even when I 3D Touch something.

I know it's not my device since I went to the Apple Store and they brought it back down to 11.2.6 and it wasn't having this problem.

As you know, this is a beta, so if you’re not experiencing it on 11.2.6 then it’s a bug so you should report it using the Feedback app. Also, I tried to do a lot of things at once while 3D touching around but no respring or reboot.

Did you notice your iPhone gets hot using it while charging? The only possible explaination is that your device is overheating causing it to unexpectedly shutdown or reboot to minimize damage. Maybe, replicate it again for excessive heat.

You can also try using recovery mode to update to the beta to rule possibly corrupt OS files while preserving your data.

I reported it on the Feedback app. My iPhone isn't responding, it's completely shutting down, booting to Apple logo, shutting down, booting to Apple logo, and repeating a couple times, and then completely booting up. I have not noticed my iPhone get at all warm while charging.

Also, I tired doing a fresh install of the iOS 11.3 beta 3 IPSW, and it still did it. So I'm guessing it's beta 3 that's the problem.

Also, it only started happening in the last two days and it has not been happening over the whole beta 3 period.

Do anyone know if this beta or 11.3 fixes the iPhone X screen randomly becoming unresponsive (not due to cold weather)?

What do you mean?

I went to use to my X and the screen was 100% unresponsive. It did not do anything whatever. I did a factory restore and the issue was still there. Afterwards I did close to 30 hard reboots and then the screen became responsive again.

Nonetheless, I read somewhere that Apple was working on a fix for this issue and will release it in 11.3

Is this new? I’ve never seen this before

Were you able to replicate the bug? I actually got a response back from Apple requesting for additional information but I couldn’t replicate it
Just letting you know - it happened again today. I was driving (was driving the first time as well - should have mentioned that). I believe it's when the device is transitioning from LTE Advanced to 3G (HSDPA). I also have an Alpine ILX-107 deck in my truck - so the device was doing wireless CarPlay (wondering if that's a contributing factor).

Submitted the 1.44GB of diagnostics to Apple....hopefully they find the issue.

Had the same problem but over multiple version of stable releases and beta releases. Apple Store found a hardware issue and replaced the phone.

Anyone else having problems with Messages in the Cloud and syncing? My iPad and iPhone both had messages on them when I enabled the feature in beta one and after like three days of syncing it seemed like the iPhone, which had the most messages and oldest messages, finished uploading them to the cloud. Now the iPad never got any messages that were older than what it initially had. On this beta I decided to take an older device that I wasn't using and set it up as new to see what would happen with messages, it synced every message from the iPhone. So I tried a few things to get the iPad to do the same, everything short of setting it up as a new iPad, no dice. Seems like something is hung with getting the older messages on the iPad. I also reported the behavior, I was just curious if anyone else had seen something similar.

Haptics completely broken. Enter multitasking doesn’t work all the time, 3D Touch icons haptic do not work always and when turning off system haptics, 3D Touch haptic feedback will happen and sometimes the same happens entering multitask. Completely broken.

Way smoother on iPhone X, and they made Apple Music’s interface better. Also some little changes so less is covered by the notch (such as artist photos in Apple Music).

Best version of iOS 11 by far.
