They used a software workaround to patch the speaker popping issue by reducing the bass, keeping the speaker always on and so on.
But they didn’t fix the firmware at all. It’s not even firmware. I think it’s hw. It’s just not capable of its task the damn power management.
Why didn’t they mention any of that? They’re hiding this.

Is the airdrop icon in the share sheet “new?” Looks like the iOS 8 icon now.

Yah didn’t turn airdrop on fella.
I kinda want the iPhone X cuz it looks more trouble free.
[doublepost=1520749834][/doublepost]Folks, this beta is living proof of fixing this and breaking that.

Anyone with an X noticing their GPS is off with each beta lately?

It had resolved itself with a carrier location reset but now it seems to be popping up every 11.3 beta. (Again, carrier location reset fixes it right away).

I think youtuber Brandon Harvard got it swapped and it was fixed? If it fixes the issue after reset, report report report.

It might be something of an interference issue, which comes back to replacement...
Resetting fixes it means the minute GPS is turned on it’s accurate and the second you start using it it goes off.
If you’re rich, sue Apple.
[doublepost=1520754903][/doublepost]Or call Apple support and ask them to escalate to the engineers for determination. Yah know....
Apple just can’t make anything work.

Had an interesting occurrence today. iPad was locked. I unlocked it and appeared it was connected. I couldn’t navigate to any websites. Checked my iPhone next to me and all was well. WiFi was good. Able to load websites. All other devices in home fine too. Link rate in router showed 6/13 for iPad, which was weird. It’s like it never came out of power save mode. I had to turn WiFi off/on to connect. I reported it.

This happened again. iPad drops connection, but appears connected. iPad is just barely connected. Rx/Tx link rate in router drops to 14/13. All other Apple devices are link rates fine and connected. Only way to fix is turn WiFi off and on. Second or third time this has happened. Didnt have this issue in prior beta that I’m aware of. Submitted another report.

Nope, not having any problems with my GPS. Activity app's been recording my walks/hikes and looking at the map it's recording, it's very accurate.

Sue them for what?
Breaking the warranty law? Shipping the buggiest iOS ever while selling you a phone saying it’s the best?
[doublepost=1520798588][/doublepost]This is less an engineering is stupid problem more a funding not enuf all went to profit for stockholders problem.
[doublepost=1520799364][/doublepost]Honestly think this is an accurate description of Apple’s engineeering right now.

I'm surprised the rectangular cut ended up fitting. :p

To anyone who still cares — stock weather app widget is updating fine since this beta :)

Glad it’s fixed. My iPad Pro seems to think it’s 7:00pm all hours of the day.

Anyone notice if they go into messages it has a 5 second delay til it opens or couple of times I will tell it to open messages and the delay sits there then back to the home screen!

Besides so,everything else is good for me on this beta ip8+...Battery is much better than beta 3!

Has anyone noticed that using the phone without a BT headset or AirPods, the conversation volume is very low? i have all sound settings on maximum, it is nigh on impossible to carry out a conversation without my AirPods connected.

I finally noticed when I see it often - it’s when my phone believes the screen is rotating. Waze along with all other maps get thrown off on current navigation. This is, of course, while driving...so hiking/walking may not be affected due to the speed.

Are you still on beta 4? If yes then why?
