Wifi has randomly been disconnecting from my home network (I only have 5ghz on) on this beta.

Then, this morning I got the bug where it said my WiFi password was incorrect and could not connect to the network. Tried toggling airplane mode, forgot the network and tried to re-join, restarted my phone, hard reset my phone, reset my router. None worked. I then reset my network settings and that finally worked.

However, I then found out my wife couldn’t connect either and the exact same thing was happening, but she’s on 11.2.6.

Obviously this has something to do with how my router talks to iOS 11, as I never had this issue previously. Weird that resetting the router didn’t fix it though.

I’ve seen many posts about this kinda WiFi issue specifically involving 5ghz.

Out of curiosity, what router do you use?

I may have a solution, as I have had similar issues previously, but it is router specific.

I have been having network Problems with beta 4: I rarely get 4g and the network signal is very weak. Has anybody experienced this?
Also, for me, the battery is worse with beta 4.

This might sound harsh but posts like this are completely useless and just fill up the forum with rubbish. At least state what the (your) remaining issues are.
I am Apple User not Fan, who is talking to me? Fan or User? BTW remaining issues are mention in this POST.

Just curious, but those who's CPU was throttled by the OS due to the battery, with 11.3, once the phone is set to full performance, does it work quick and cut off or does it work quick without cutting off/shutting down?

On iPhone X I just noticed when I quick multitask by swiping the bottom bar left or right that the network signal strength drops to zero for a split second. I’m pretty sure it’s just a cosmetic bug but it’s been reported.

Just took a screenshot and the orienatation was wrong ! Portrait became landscape ! Feedback sent.

App update sizes are not showing up on my iPad, not sure if this is a region specific thing. Also a little disappointed small graphical glitches like this still have not been fixed

My Bluetooth skipping bug has gotten worse with beta 4. It only happens when I'm at the gym using my headphones. Car audio is flawless. Is there environmental factors that can cause this? I'm pretty sure it started with beta 2 and was about that same with beta 3. I've nailed down two spots where it gets really bad and those are right outside the front door as I'm walking in (not out) and by the water fountain. Aside from those spots it's really random but it does happen, although it's not near as bad as the aforementioned spots.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Netgear R6400

Ok. This is for ASUS routers but you may have the same/similar setting.

Login to the router as an Admin and turn off the following for the 5G network if they are there.

Airtime fairness
Explicit beamforming
Universal beamforming
Multi-User MIMO

iOS 11 products seem to have an issue with those settings. My MacBook Pro and my Wife’s MacBook Pro are however fine with them on. I tried all various combinations since iOS 11 and the only one that worked was turning them all off. That was about 3mths ago and never had an issue since.

I actually stumbled on it by accident as the airtime fairness was causing an issue with my Sonos speakers.

Worth a try at least.

Which headphones?

As with anything wireless, there's always the potential for interference. The 2.4GHz range is pretty packed with bluetooth, wifi, satellite radio, cordless phones and some microwave ovens all fighting for bandwidth. The front door in question - do you have home automation, bluetooth proximity to unlock it when you get close? If so, maybe that device profile on your phone is interfering with the bluetooth profile of your headphones - try uninstalling/reinstalling that device. Ditto for the headphones. If that doesn't fix it, I'd report the problem to both vendors that they may have an incompatibility.

Edit: Also, reporting that potential incompatibility to Apple via Feedback/bug report might be a good idea as well - they could use their influence to get the vendors in question to play nice. :)

Thanks for the suggestions. Already had airtime fairness off, router (and my devices) don’t support mu-mimo, and beamforming is the reason I have an AC router, but I’ll try to see if turning that off helps.

It is okay to switch from 11.2.6 to this beta?
Is it stable for day 2 day use?
I really wish that MR policy blacklisted that question being asked. "Is this beta ok as a daily driver" -as, inherently, the people asking the question are the ones that shouldn't be running beta code. They didn't commit in the beginning and they have zero tolerance for bugs.
All they're going to do is bitch and moan when (if) things go sideways....and not report bugs as they encounter them.

You should wait for 11.3 to be released. Everyone not participating in the beta should.

Only you can answer this question for yourself. Like any beta, it causes problems for some and not for others (including me). Best advice I can give you is to make a backup of your data while you're still on 11.2.6 (make sure you encrypt and archive the backup (only possible on a Mac, I think) so it doesn't get overwritten by a subsequent backup while you're on 11.3) Then you'll have a way to get back and lose minimal amounts of data in going back.

They're Avantree Joggers. Something cheap, waterproof and lightweight I picked up off Amazon for the gym. The front door in question is actually the one at the gym so I can't say what they have going on there.

As I mentioned before, this wasn't an issue before 11.3 so I'm pretty sure it's related to the beta somehow. I was just curious if it was happening to anybody else.

Hmm. You could try scanning for bluetooth devices in the two areas that you're having issues. Maybe there's some commonality in those locations...if you can isolate it and confirm which devices, you could send that into to Apple in a bug report.

Anyone facing issue in attention awareness features like dimming display and lowering volume while receiving calls on iPhone X ios 11.3 beta 4....?

I switched from 11.2.6 to 11.3b4 three days ago. I’m experiencing lower battery life, my X gets about 7 hours now compared to 9-10 on 11.2.6.

If you skim through all the 11.3 beta threads, that seems to be a fairly common experience though some are reporting battery life isn’t as bad on b4 as earlier betas.

Other than battery, I’m enjoying smooth performance on my X.

But comparing my experience on b4 vs 11.2.6, there’s little to no advantage to moving from 11.2.6 to 11.3b4 but there is downside risk: for every person like me that reports smooth performance, there’s another reporting significant, annoying issues.

So, I’d suggest you wait until 11.3 is officially released widely. I’m guessing you won’t have to wait more than a few more weeks.

Hope this helps.

Same here. Didn’t even notice until you pointed out. I just tested it and sure enough, same results.
