Anyone using Facebook groups? Just updated to Beta 5 and when I click on the shortcuts to the groups I'm members of, the app force closes. Ive rebooted and reinstalled the app, still occurs. However, I found that by navigating to the group via prior notifications, then go and click on the main group page thereafter, it appears to be fixed sometimes. Was working fine on 11.2.6.
Facebook Group app has been discontinued. You will be redirected to Facebook app for groups.

Sorry I didn’t mean the Facebook groups app. Meant Facebook groups in general. When you click on your account page and at the top where it shows your groups shortcuts, when you tap them, the Facebook app crashes.

Oh OK. Anyways Facebook app is crap. I have stopped using it. I have been using friendly app for Facebook..

What issue exactly? And with what device?

it shows i'm connected to the network but don't get any internet access so i have to turn off wifi and back on again an then it works ok, it happens at random times sometimes only work for 10-15mins then other times it can work for a few hours.

its on iPhone X also happens on my partners iPhone X both on 11.3 beta 5, we didn't have this problem before 11.3 and my daughters iPhone 8 doesn't have this problem which is on 11.2.6. I've tried resetting network settings and setting up the phone as new rather than from a backup but still the same problem.

I don't have this problem on my iPad 2017 or on iPad pro 9.7 but happens on the kids iPad air 2

Curtis,

Check out Chazzle’s post. It could be a Keychain issue messing with the WiFi connection:

You could also try disabling implicit (universal) beamforming in your router, if it has that option.

Hmmm. How much time of that usage was with the screen off listening to music/podcasts?

I could get close to that when my iPhone 7 was brand new on iOS 10 but that was when I had been running with the screen off listening to music a lot of times.

Using the phone all day regularly with the screen on mostly i could usually get 6-8 hours usage before it dies depending on what I was doing.

I have a smart battery case now also and then I can only hit 12 hours usage if I baby the phone using it lightly. The phone is from oct 2016 and the case is from about June 2017. So both batteries have degraded some. I also play Pokémon go sometimes and I know that has taken a good toll on the batteries.

Anyways nice result but I’m just curious how you pulled off that much usage. Could be that a process got stuck also and the usage time was just erroneously ticking up a lot of the time when you were in fact not even using the phone.

Sometimes if I have a full enough battery I screenshot my usage screen right before bed then leave it off the charger and screenshot as soon as I wake up to see how much the usage has ticked up on its own. In my experience I’ve noticed I have more usage time ticking up compared to when I was on iOS 10 overnight and also with my Apple Watch connected. In the iOS 10 days without my Apple Watch the usage would tick up 8-12 minutes over and 8 hour period. Now on the current iOS and with my Apple Watch connected I’ve noticed he usage ticks up a good 20-35 minutes consistently over that same 8 hour period. Not sure why. Must be more background processes going on in iOS 11 than before. Or maybe it has something to do with the Apple Watch being connected.

Been seeing an issue with audio volume on my iPhone 7. When I connect to a bluetooth speaker and listen to audio, then disconnect, the audio (not ringtone) volume on the phone will drop down to 0. I first started noticing it with one of the 11.3 betas, but thought maybe I was wrong and had just had the volume turned down before. But the last few times it's happened, that definitely wasn't the case. It doesn't happen every time, and I haven't been able to recreate it. Anyone else see this?

General question:-
Is there a noticeable difference in the battery life of 7plus and 8plus or is it the same in real time usage.

Hi, see my post from here on 11.0.2, where I got Usage 11hrs 15min and Standby 73hrs 2min.

Usage pattern on 11.0.2 and 11.3 beta 5 pretty much the same. This time on 11.3 beta 5, I probably used the music app for an hour or so.

Okay, so I've noticed something, I've been taking different screenshots of my Home screen (to make sure the app I'm downloading is actually moving) and the app icons keep shifting to different places, of course, it would be hard to tell just using your phone, but why does iOS do this? Bug?

Update: could be Paralax, my bad

Does anyone with Apple Watch Series 3 has problem when unlocking the watch via iPhone? My watch is connected to the phone, watch unlocks very, very slow compared to previous betas and stable releases of iOS 11 :(

i cant disable beamforming as i'm on sky fibre and using sky q hub but disabling keychain seems to have done the trick thank you. i don't understand why it got that issue only after ios 11.3..

But it says it's connected to my personal wifi router when I go into settings.

That's right. This happens if your personal router has some kind of issue connecting to the Internet. You will see the iPhone connected to the router in Wifi settings, but the icon on the top bar won't show. That's by design.

I totally understand. That doesn't explain how I was also able to stream Netflix to my Apple TV through the same wifi router.

Anyhow doesn't seem to be an issue any longer.

Another bug. TV app doesn't show downloaded movies if you switch to the airplane mode. Restarting the app fixes the problem. Steps to reproduce:

- open the TV app
- download some movies
- open Downloaded tab
- switch to Airplane mode
- expected: see movie list
- actual: message attached below appears.

Doesn’t matter when operators like Airhell and Fraudafone deliberately hamper connectivity with jio.

My statement and yours are not related. It does matter that Jio PRL was updated to 32 because it means that something was updated with Jio for iPhone. Has nothing to do with Airtel and Vodafone.
