I did not know this. Thanks for the information!

I am going to have to test this out as i can't say whether or not this is what is causing my issue. I'll test in a brightly lit place, then a dark room, and see what happens.
I don’t think a dark room will trigger this as it needs to have the proximity sensor obscured as well. Either way, let me know how your testing goes. I’ve ran into this quite a bit where my screen doesn’t light up if I receive a notification when my phone is on the couch and a blanket or pillow is hovering over the very top of the phone or if it’s on the coffee table a piece of paper or something is touching near the front facing camera.

Thanks! I can see bypassing the iBoot loader is important for jailbroken phones, but is there any benefit to do DFU restore on non-jailbroken phone?? If there’s any I want to try it out.

I dont think there is a benefit unless you have a problem like a stuck Apple logo or else.

Bug: if you are on a phone call the number you typed in does not show up in the call log if you are still on the phone call. You have to hang up before it shows up....so stupid

Why does this matter?

I just see no benefit to the behavior you are suggesting. Also, the call time would not obviously show until you’ve ended the call.

When using my device in speakerphone mode or via headset, having that option was handy at times and it would show me how long I had been on ...
To @atlchamp point, this is the way it has worked. Either it is a documented change or a bug.

iOS 11.3 wasn't what I was expecting. They overhyped the battery panel since there aren't many improvements to it and the throttling option is only available if there was an unexpected shutdown. What they should have done is put in a switch to turn it on or off.

Can you not look at the elapsed time on the call screen?

My wifi is alwaya dropping and not reconnecting i thought it was an issue with my broadband but now i see its on my iphone X 11.3 stable anyone else having this my homepod doesn't work as it keeps saying my ios device has to be on same network
I didn’t have problems with it dropping, I had issues with it slowing to a crawl. I restored back to 11.2.6 and everything is fine now.

New one ...
My coworker has an iPhone X on 11.3
He is no longer able to take screenshots.
The normal buttons take him to the Slide to Power Off and Emergency screen.
Did something change?
The screenshot on the 7+ didn't change.

Sounds like he is holding the buttons too long. It suppose to be quick press volume+ and side button. Sometimes, I would get a glitch when I screenshot I don't see that screen flash and a preview of the pic on the bottom left corner but the picture does show up in the Photos app.

Interesting thought. Why would the ambient light sensor keep the screen from waking up when receiving a notification? If I press the home button, the screen does wake. My question is NOT based in sarcasm - I'm seriously interested in your reasoning.

EDIT: Clarified message.

It seems that my test worked fine without issues. I would try to manually switch to unread from default and manually select every email and mark them read and it fixed my phone too. Fortunately, I never had this issue in my laptop or my ipad before. Hopefully this helps you.

Thx - I’ll pass that on to him.

Well, just realize I've been bitten all along by the "Javascript disabled by default" decision. My website provider (Squarespace) serves many site images/assets over JS, so this default setting being off means my main header images are absent - and my menu cannot open. This is a big deal for 2 reasons:

1) The average iUser will have no clue how to enable Javascript as it's buried in Safari's settings
2) People will assume I coded a broken site, as they will for the millions of other SS sites that are now broken (among others)

Pretty pissed about this right now, as someone who is trying to maintain a portfolio and professional web presence.

I reached out to him and that worked. He says it is requires a quicker touch than before.
Anyway, thank for the fix. :)

I just updated my mini 4 to iOS 11.3. Before I was on 11.2.6 and experienced lag with animations on my mini 4. Especially when multitasking. With this update everything has returned to being as smooth as it was on iOS 10 (or at least it feels as smooth, I do t have another mini 4 on iOS 10 to compare it with). I was regretting updating it to iOS 11 because of the lag, but now that it’s gone I have no complaints.

Thank you for your input, but I think I am having a different issue than you are. Mine is notifications on the lock screen.

has anyone had the issue where you check a new text or snap chat text really fast and back out of the app and it doesnt register it as read so the badge is still there like you never read it?
