Is there any difference in performance if we set up as new with no backup at all and re-download all apps manually vs. restore from iCloud backup then hit reset all settings?
To clarify, i just "reset all settings" on my iPhone X. I did not restore or setup as new. And after i restart my phone, the "camera hang" problem exists.

An update - IPP 12.9 G2 - on Spectrum’s website checking on my router settings and later on Deviant Art - in both cases Safari froze and allowed no vertical scrolling. Killing Safari in task manager then reopening restored scrolling. These were two separate incidences hours apart.

Haven’t seen that before. Will be keeping an eye on that...

Update: the tabs and pages worked fine. Just would not vertical scroll.

Have you tried playing with Safari's advanced experimental settings (as in disabling some/all of them)?

I have not. They are the same for all of 11 unless the defaults changed.

Anyone else having the issues below?
(1) No sound from earpiece while on call
(2) No vibration from notifications

Both fixed after restarting phone but kind of annoying if it happens again. I updated OTA on a pretty slow WIFI but having completed without error, this shouldn’t be an issue right?

Finally, I restore 11.3 via dfu mode. Camera hang issue fixed!!

P.S. I tried restart my phone (iPhone X) to verify. It really works. :)
What’s the difference between DFU restore and regular restore for non-jailbreakers? I am planning on restoring today.

Since I updated to 11.3 and I backuped before... with my iPhone 7. I don’t really want to update my iPad Pro 10.5” at the moment...

However, without a single read or new email, I automatically see 58 gmail emails even if I don’t have any read. It is annoying. A few minutes, it goes to zero and a few minutes it’s back to 58 emails.

I searched this thread and it seems nobody else had this issue. Anyone else?

I deleted gmail and readded the email account and it did nothing. Very annoying and luckily I did a backup before going to 11.3.

Annoyingly it’s slower on my X and air 2. The betas were good. def seeing slowdowns on both of my devices. Fresh install too.

I did a vol+/vol-/hold side button restore with iTunes on my X and restored from an iTunes backup.
Definitely smoother experience now than the beta 6 to 11.3 upgrade.
1% battery drain per hour.

Has this been happening to anyone where the icons don’t display and you have to force close the app and reopen it for it to display?

Actually I don't know, but it really solves my problem. haha...

I do some research on the internet, it looks like normal restore and DFU restore are same if we just want to restore to the most updated iOS version. Please correct me if I am wrong. :)

Is someone experiencing many resprings? iPhone 6S
Especially after pulling down notification centre.
(Had 4 resprings yesterday)

The reason I asked this was the size of “other” space showing different sizes every time I restore, even with the same OS 11.3. I’ll have to try DFU next time so I can compare see if the “other” space gets small

Anyone else experiencing internet issues? I decided to give 11.3 another go and wifi works but then slows to a crawl I have to switch back and forth constantly between 2.4 and 5ghz just to have usable internet.

When i open an image and delete it, it jumps over some other images, not to the next image as usual :(.
The batery life get worse compare to the 11.2.6 before.

my iPhone 7 runs iOS 10.3.3
it looks like there's no worthy alternative?
should I stay on 10.3.3?

Should stay right there dude. There's no need to upgrade unless you are on ios 11 (still confuse should we ugrade or not like other members here)

I’m having weird bugs too but I updated with the full installer via iTunes with my MacBook Pro. I did notice when I went to delete the installer that it had it listed as the iPhone 8 update even though I use an iPhone 7. I thought that was weird too.

My bugs have been a transparent control center sometimes, and no vibration and no chime when plugging in. And this morning when I unplugged the screen didn’t turn on like it usually does. Usually a reboot fixes it for about a day then the weird little bugs I’ve never had before seem to start up. I’m suspecting a 11.3.1 update is probably in the works.
[doublepost=1522843443][/doublepost]Quick question...

Under notifications there is a slider that says “Show in History”.

I never noticed this before. Does this mean the old notifications could be searched for in search if I have the app the notification is from turned on in Siri and search suggestions? Man iOS keeps getting more complicated!
[doublepost=1522843753][/doublepost]Hmm yeah something weird going on with my iPhone on 11.3. Plugged it in and charged overnight. No chime when I plugged in. Battery counter never reset and continued to count up the usage the entire time my phone was plugged in. I have a smart battery case too. Weird. I wonder if I need to do a backup and restore?

My iPhone 8, running iOS 11.3, is having problems with notifications. iPhone is locked, with the screen dimmed. When I receive notifications, there is 50/50 shot of the screen lighting. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Basically, DFU mode allows you to restore the phone to any firmware by bypassing the iBoot loader. Recovery mode only allows you to restore to the latest firmware.

If your ambient light sensor is obscured, then the screen will not light up. That may be what’s happening here.
