New Bug:
When asking Siri to play a specific song, it always results in the first song in my library being played and not the song requested. I’ve tried asking to play many different songs, and it always result in playing The A Team by Ed Sheeran as that’s the first song alphabetically in my music library.

Asking to play a specific artist works fine. Not sure when this bug was introduced tbh.

Yep same here. Feedback sent.

Alright it’s been a day and battery life seems...fine ended my day of normal usage with 40% and 4 hour and 30 minute screen on time usage. I periodically check my phone for Twitter, crypto prices, and texting and about 30 minutes of music streaming during my commute throughout the day. I will say the phone was oddly warm when using it at one point but I’ll blame that on beta diagnostics in the background.

General / iPhone Storage does not show Whatsapp in the app list. Whatsapp occupies 5.1Gb in my backups, but it's not even in the list.

I did read it. The reason I ignored it was because I have already posted before that on my iPad running iOS 10, I dont see that jerky animation being talked out here. I was on iOS 10 on my 7 for a whole year and never say anything like that.

Not to mention if what you were saying was the issue, Apple would have already closed my bug report which is still marked as "Open". Apple would have closed it if it was a bugfix.

Anyway I don't want to derail the thread further.

Conveniently this "human error" is only visible in YouTube videos comparing iOS 10 and 11.

With the new information I'd say that you should contact Apple about your open bug. If that is a bug, all of the iPhone users will be benefitted.

Anyone else notice that standby battery drain seems much reduced on this beta?

On previous betas and released versions, 0.6%/hour in standby and maybe 6-10%/hour screen on seemed to be the norm. So far, on b2 I seem to be getting noticeably better than that, at least in standby..... no numbers yet but I'll check standby drain overnight and report back.

I get 1 percent per hour on 6s!
I should have stated that the 0.6%/hour is on an iPhone 7 with brand new battery, background app refresh off and nothing fetching in the background except Google calendar and Google contacts once/hour. This is also with very strong WiFi and cell signals and Bluetooth on but nothing connected.

Chazzle,

Apple contacted me about this bug and had me turn on Siri logging and then repeat the bug and send them detailed feedback which I did. Just letting you know they are really looking into this one !

Still have the audio problem - it looks like a CD skipping for 3-5 seconds every now and then. Very annoying, and it's also in 11.3 final.

I’m using 11.4 beta 2, iPhone 7+
Anyone face same issue?

If you slide up and down a second time with your finger, it'll fix the icon issue.
Doesn’t fix it for me. Constantly have this no matter how many times or the speed at which I slide.

Here too! Good to know.

Well, I did a measurement overnight and came up with a standby drain of 0.75%/hour so perhaps nothing has changed from past betas after all.

Note that a simple single overnight measurement suffers pretty heavily from rounding errors since the displayed battery level is rounded to the nearest 1%. Still, anything under 1%/hour isn't bad.
