Anyone know why my usage/standby times would be incorrect? I installed the new beta last night, put the phone on the charger since it was low, and let it go. It hit 100% right before I was heading to bed so I let it sit a bit then unplugged it and left it locked on the table next to my bed. Yet it’s saying it was only in standby for an hour and 13 minutes?! I did plug it in very briefly today because it said iCloud Messaging stopped downloading until I plug in/connect to WiFi. Maybe I unknowingly charged it back up to 100% in that little bit of time and didn’t realize it.

iCloud Message space is still a mess too

General > space >
document and data: 77 mb
Conversation: 69 mb
Photos / videos etc: 0 mb

Messages App: LOTS of images and videos attached, some only show incomplete thumbnails too. Cannot delete any either (button doesn’t do anything)

iCloud: 700 mb
click on it: 20 mb
I have had the same issues ever since they introduced messages via iCloud. Have you reported it to Apple?

I notice that if you plug in your phone and it is 97%/98% or higher battery, it resets the usage and standby time as if it is fully charged.

I have issues with the Camera app and Apple Pencil on the new iPad 2018. When I take a photo and try to directly edit it, by choosing the photo gallery on the Camera app and then "Edit", Apple Pencil is irresponsive for marking up. I have to close the app and open it again. I dunno if this is present in previous builds.

Yep, that's how I have it set. Which then makes the volume slider in CC more confusing, it seems.

I’ve actually never paid much attention to the “change with buttons” option and just tried turning it on and testing my side buttons.

What a completely asinine, confusing “feature.” If you want to change your call ringing and alert volume independently of your media/music volume, that should always be something you need to find deeper into settings. It’s way too confusing with the buttons option turned on. Who even thought of that?

I think you are hoping for too much with IOS 12. They already said it’s going to be primarily big fixes.....not much in the way of new features
Prett sure Apple never commented on anything iOS12 related.

On the topic of Messages in iCloud: was it reduced to a mere „Messages“ toggle in your iCloud Drive settings menu? I had to turn it on in there cause opening the messages app gave no popup and the messages settings also has not a single „in iCloud“ setting. That‘s a big contrast to the early versions I remember from testing the initial
iOS11 betas (sync button etc).

Yup they are both on beta 5 :-(

Have you tried to force sync on the Mac under Preference for Message app? Then, iMessage yourself or have someone iMessage you then try to delete it to see if it will sync across Mac and iPhone?

The "Change with Button" feature allows you to change the ringer volume anywhere in Home or within apps. When playing a media or video, it automatically switches to volume for playback media. In the CC, the volume slider only to control media playback volume.

Same annoying issues with iMessage. Cannot believe it ...

i am beta testing it on two iPhones and two iPads and I have the same issues on each.

If I click the „i“ in the top right corner of any iMessage conversation to delete attached images, the delete button does not actually delete any images.

If I go to general > storage > messages and delete images and videos in there I still have attachments in the actual messages app itself.

iCloud Storage of iMessage does not match on any of my devices either

Also not sure what is going on there:

Still broken.

It’s not peek and pop for the articles within the Apple News app, but rather any Apple News link that is shared in Messages or saved in Notes that is broken.

Still Beta!!!

Wow! Very strange they didn't fix the Black Dot bug. Maybe in the final beta.

I’ve got the same situation. I left my iPhone X to download the beta overnight and I woke up 4 hours ago to see that it still has 1 hour to go, and it hasn’t changed since!

My WiFi is fine as well.

The volume slider is not reacting on the hardware silent button!

They need to remove the whole 11, cos it is time for 12 and the previous is not fixed!

Do someone have a problem withApple Music, I mean sometimes the music app starts slowly!

11.4 BETA testing...

What are apple developers doing from 1 and a half months?

Thanks for the clarification!

I was initially going to agree until I remembered using Android. I thought it's separate volume sliders was annoying as hell. If I mashed the down button, it should lower the volume on everything, not just media or alerts.
