Just figured I'd start this thread as I'm sure many others are wondering the same thing. Im about to do it on my iPad Pro because it is mainly just for entertainment purposes, so its fine for me if certain apps dont work or there are bugs.
But on my iPhone, I'm not too sure. So this is just a thread for people like me wondering if they should take the plunge or not. Those who have it installed: did you install it on a daily driver, how is it working, and is it good enough for a daily driver?

I wouldn't do it on my iPhone, but my iPad is non-critical. Seriously thinking about doing it on my iPad Pro 2 next week. For now I'll clean off my Air 2 and gift it to my grandparents whose old iPad 4 16GB with a cracked display and broken home button could really use replacement with a 128GB machine that I've babied.

I'll start. I am giving it a go. Just installing the os my phone dropped from 82% to 32%, almost exactly 50 points. I am at 28% now. Will charge and keep an eye on it. Not expecting decent battery life until at least beta 3 though.

You should be plugged in when doing iOS updates, by the way. If your phone shuts down due to low battery during an update you will need iTunes to restore and that's a pain in the ass.

It runs fairly smoothly on my iPad Air 2. Some minor stutters in animations here and there, but other than that it's great.

At this point the only reason to run iOS 11 is if you get the new iPhone and it comes preloaded.

Or you understand how beta versions work and want to try iOS 11 out, or you wait until release and update your current phone.

Way too laggy on a 7+. Had to revert to 10.3.3 beta 2. Plus I'm not a huge fan of the wasted white space, new control center, new notification center, bold text, etc.. Runs ok on my iPad Air 2 so i'm keeping it on that device.

Put it on my iPad Air, it runs like treacle but so did iOS 10 really. The new keyboard with pull-down symbols is really, really useful. The new app switcher and Control Centre combo is really good too. Imagine it'd be a really great update for a more modern iPad.

Not risking it on my 7+ until at least the Public Betas, and even then probably not until it's more mature.

Can’t make phone calls via Siri? Says I have to open the app. Anyone else?

I like the new changes even if they aren't major according to some.

I uninstalled it as it was too glitchy but that's expected as this is only the first beta, so I wouldn't use this as a daily driver. It's laggy and sometimes it gets stuck in control center unable to exit it and occasionally you can't move around apps. Also ad blocking doesn't seem to work. You're probably gonna need to wait a few betas till some of those bugs get ironed out.

I unsitnalled and reinstalled my adblocker and that worked, using 1Blocker. Just for anyone with this issue.

Oh damn that was the main reason I uninstalled more than anything. I should have probably reinstalled 1Blocker again then.

Based on my fooling around with it on the iPhone 6 I have bouncing around, hell to the hell no. HELL no. HELL FREAKING NO!!

It's glitchy and buggy and slow. You will be crying within an hour. But at least based on my playing with it so far, I like the changes. Once they optimize the hell out of it, it'll be a great release I'm sure.

I can vouch for this. Just a few hours later and I'm restoring back to iOS 10...

Update: content blocker isn’t working again. Must be an off and on thing. Oh well, it’s a beta!
Aside from that, I feel like it is working pretty well on my iPad Pro 12.9”. Actually the animations are pretty smooth and the multitasking features I’ve tried seem to work pretty well for a first beta.
Other thoughts; Don’t really know what to think of the lock screen-notification center merging, and I’d kinda still prefer a control center separate from the multitasking screen that would be a bit easier to activate than it currently is. I’m sure it will be tweaked over the course of the beta though.

My verdict - pretty buggy on the 7 Plus, pretty good on the 12.9 Pro. But just to have everything syncing well where I won't get stuck with something broken, put the 7 Plus back on 10.3.2 and am going to do the same with the Pro.
