It's relatively slow on my 6, and some of the apps I use daily have some oddities so I'm going to roll back to 10 tonight. Maybe I'll give it another go later...

The joy of having a dev account through work; the new toys without the responsibility :)

Running fine on my 7 plus. Only glitch I had was the music player would not disappear from the lock screen and my lock screen wallpaper would change back and forth to my home screen wallpaper. All seemed to be fixed after a reboot.

Did you OTA upgrade from iOS 10, iTunes update or clean install?

It's definetly not something I'd use as a "daily driver". Not to say what is there is bad, but it's glitchy and slow, which is to be expected at beta 1.

Currently testing iOS 11 Beta on my iPad Air 2. I’m actually surprised how well it’s performing. Most of my apps are functioning normally and besides a few bugs, it’s pretty smooth.
I’m a little too confident (and stupid) tonight and may let my iPhone 6 (primary) take the dive.

typical beta 1 issues for the year's major ios, good enough for daily use? certainly..

2nd year in a row now beta 1 is good enough (yes thats "subjective" so save it, its good enough for many more than the previous beta 1's of previous years).

seems like a little over half of the responses i've read so far on the forums say that iOS 11 on primary devices is a very bad idea. it's very buggy.

Pretty much par for the course as far as early betas go for major new versions.

Pretty buggy on my 6S then again I didn’t do a fresh install. But, I’d wait at least 3 betas before putting it back on my device.

I have it on my phone and it’s running good aside from some power drain issues that could easily be due to indexing.

This built is definitely usable. No comparison to previous first betas.

Yes the UI lags, yes some actions need a bit more patience as usual, but all in all it’s a very nice start.

Batterylife seems pretty good.

My new 12.9 iPad arrives on Monday, hope the beta is doing well on my new baby, too

*edit: iPhone 7+

Definitely usable for me too. Some glitchs and lags here and there, but nothing blocking. All my daily apps are working (WhatsApp, 1Password, banking app, Google Maps, calendar app, and much more). Battery life seems okay, not much difference with 10.x so far.

Updated OTA from 10.3.3 beta. 7+

Very snappy on my iPP 12.9. In fact, an improvement over 10.3.3 beta 2.
Same here on my iPP 9.7
My 12.9 is my work device, as is my iPhone, so it just gets installed on my 9.7.
There are some glitches, as is to be expected with a b1, but it’s certainly not unusable.

On iPhone 7plus - it works not so bad. I can keep it for daily usage. The battery life is not good, of course. Some big lag when opening apps. But hope in next dp beta to have improvements.

I have also done it on my iPad Pro, as at the moment it isn’t a critical device, and I just had to test the new multitasking; which I really think they have done well on.

One little thing I will mention for people wanting it on their iPhones or daily critical devices, is that it seems not to work with AirPods... could just be my own personal hiccough, but no matter what I do, audio will not play through the AirPods. They connect and pair and everything fine, but no audio.

It’s also quite hard to find the audio output switcher, which you seemingly can only do by playing some music first so you get the music control up in the Music App, or long press the control centre widget where it then magically appears.

Would like to know if this is a widespread thing, or whether I just need to do a reinstall (I did the OTA).

Thanks to the OP for starting this thread. It's always the first question I have and up until iOS 10 b1, I usually would wait till b3 or b4 (after learning the hard way on a previous version - don't remember which but it was years ago).

Installing on my iPP 9.7 now, since like many, should things be problematic, it won't have major impact on my work and critical / heavily depended upon apps & features. If the bugs are tolerable like iOS 10 b1, then I'll give it a go on my iPhone 7+ and also install watchOS 4 which I assume requires iOS 11 be installed on the iPhone to which the  watch is connected.

I'll advise as to the results of all 3 of the above devices assuming things are good enough on the 9.7. Thanks to all for sharing their experiences so far.

This new swipe down notificationcenter/lockscreen is total crap. biggest step back since the first iOS, as they would say at apple.

Put it on my iPad Air, it runs like treacle but so did iOS 10 really. The new keyboard with pull-down symbols is really, really useful. The new app switcher and Control Centre combo is really good too. Imagine it'd be a really great update for a more modern iPad.

Not risking it on my 7+ until at least the Public Betas, and even then probably not until it's more mature.
What all features are available for the iPad Air?

I mean the new dock and other multitasking features.

I have installed the first beta on my iPad Pro 9.7" tablet and it seems to run without issue. I like the new Files app, which was there in the dock after updating the firmware. Animations are occasionally a little stutter but this is clearly the smoothest beta 1 firmware of any iOS release that I've tested. Audio volume on-screen graphic is missing but other than that, I see no major issues.

I have it running on my 6S+ and it’s pretty decent, some odd little animation issues and a couple of apps not working (TomTom/AdBlock+) but otherwise working well.

It adds one of the features I’ve been desperate for for a while and that is being able to use the live aspect to fix a dodgy photo, and it works with previous taken Live Photos too.

There aren't any new multitasking features - you do get the dock, and still can activate slide over by dragging an app up from the dock, but it doesn't add split view.

With reduce motion on, it's actually quite useable on the Air. The new Control Centre and keyboard are great additions. However, I don't really understand pulling down what used to be Notification Centre now though which seemingly goes back to the lock screen. I hope that's changed back to the iOS 10 behaviour in later betas.
