iOS 11 Beta 1: Changes, Bug Fixes, Enhancements, etc.

Has anyone else’s iCloud bookmarks gone crazy over the past few days? My bookmarks first started duplicating and now my favorites screen is empty and when I attempt to add a bookmark there it is moved to the root bookmark folder. I’m assuming it’s due to the new sync engine in iOS 11.

How do I access audio playback settings from control center? In the old one I used the AirPlay icon where I could choose between Bluetooth headphones, Dock connector, phone speakers etc.. But in the new one I only get AirPlay Mirroring options.

I don't have iOS 11 yet but my wild guess would be by 3D touching the Music "block" where the controls are.

You must press on the audio that is in the now playing widget with force touch, after the screen shows more information and the little triangle icon for picking inputs is there also.

This is correct. It does have the flaw that you must actively have audio playing, or at least an audio source in there, to have the option to switch outputs though. Hopefully they fix that one.

Yes I have 2 reports open on the pesky now playing triangle. One for the isssue we’re currently discussing. Second, the output name isn’t displayed anymore as it should in music (i.e. Jeffrey’s AirPods) at the bottom of the screen.

I reported the former too. Good spot on the other one though.

The UX people at apple are obviously high. Good luck figuring out how to get to spotlight, redirect audio, launch an app that isn't in your dock into multitasking, etc.

Attaway to make everything so intuitive or discoverable.

bug: videos don't play from files app. It appears to play, sound is heard but no video movement
bug: iMessages icloud sync doesn't work
bug: ibooks - unable to swipe to next page (without some faffing about)
bug: apps update randomly (been trying to update Memrise for 1 week now)

Landscape mode on iPhone 6S (not plus)!

I can swipe the control panel up too, from Safari when rotated. Interesting, but I assume bug rather than feature.

bug: battery percentage has disappeared (turning on or off and rebooting made no difference)
bug: Go to iCloud settings and avatar has change to a violin

That was me ;)
That’s what they said in the keynote. They didn’t specify a date, so it doesn’t have to be the 30th.
It could very well be the 27th or 28th.
Or they can even push to July if they want to.
