I agree. This ‘lag’ people are talking about isn’t even an issue. I press the home button and it closes, nothing is wrong with it!

There is a slight delay whether you want to acknowledge it or not. I don't know what device you're running but if you have the 7 or 7+ then open an app, close it via the home button and you'll see it. Better yet, if you have a iOS 10.3.3 device (7/7+) then compare them both live and you'll see it first hand.

Stop saying there isn't an issue when there actually is one, I understand it's a BETA but to say it's not an issue is just not accurate at all.

I’m running it on an 6s Plus. I’m saying I think it’s intentional and that it doesn’t matter either way, it’s working fine? Press home to close.. it closes.

To some users it's fine because they don't care but to those of us that care about performance and fluidity then it matters a whole lot. Like I said, it's a BETA so I'm hopeful it'll be fixed down the line but this definitely isn't a deal breaker for me, iOS 11 has been great outside of a few hiccups.

Maybe I’m just turning into my dad by not caring haha. I presume you filed a report?

Just pointing it out to build a consensus for the Wiki: minor 3D Touch animation stutter is still present when hard-pressing home screen apps. Not a huge deal, but hope they iron it out in the GM.
The lag is still the there for me also, but it feels like they’ve sped up the 3dtouch animation so it’s less noticeable.

I’m really liking this beta version. Compared to beta 1, my iPhone 7 is running mostly smooth. There are slight hiccups here and there, but battery life is doing well. I have no complaints really.
Wait, let me get this straight. You are saying beta 10 is better than beta 1? Incredible! Ha, kidding. I agree, this beta feels pretty great compared to the final beta of iOS 10.0. The final version of 11.x.x is going to be awesome.

It is not an issue for many of us!

Trying to figure out what you guys will do with that 1/2 second delay in closing out of an app that iOS 11 is stealing from you. Yeah. I see a small delay. I guess most of us just don't see it as a make or break issue like some seem to make it out to be.

In the end, it's a personal thing at this point. The apps close albeit after 1/2 second delay. Some folks act like they are losing sleep over this.

Here's a thought to REALLY mess with you... given that Apple has done NOTHING about it through 10 betas now, perhaps they intentionally slowed the closing animation.....

You need to do a reset and restore from backup. You’re having far too many issues I ain’t seen on my iPad Pro 10.5. Which I just got two weeks ago.

I don't notice any "lag". Some of you people are far to critical of tiny changes from version to version. It's not always going to behave the exact same. I honestly notice zero lag and never have. It opens. 1 millisecond is not bothering me or even getting my attention. I have far more important things to worry about.

So we should just make iOS get professively less smooth, fast. Ok. Let’s see where we are at in 5 years with this thinking.

Yes.

First one filed during beta 8 during was closed "behaves as intended" so I filed a second one during beta 9 with more information.

Do you need a dev account to see status of bugs you report via the feedback app? Also can you check the status of other tickets filed by others?

I'm not aware of any way of checking the status of stuff sent through the Feedback app. I think they contract you through the Feedback app if required.

Those reports have a different numbering system and don't show up on the developer bug report site (which is where I submit the bugs I spot)

Also can you check the status of other tickets filed by others?
No, only if you're an Apple employee with enough disclosure permissions.

That’s like saying you’re fine with buying a $50 steak only to receive 3/4 of it. Stop accepting a downgrade in overall performance. Why anyone would be ok with paying so much for an iPhone only to see it performs worse after a major update is beyond me. If you’re fine with it then so be it, just don’t try telling those of us that care for speed, which is what the iPhones are known for by the way, that this is a none issue.

Still no noticeable "lag" on my 7 Plus, but the delay on closing apps with the home button is indeed noticeable, wish it would be instantaneous.

Copy. Well at least the feedback app is better than the Android way of sending feedback. At least Apple replies here and there.

I think I see the lag being talked about, but geez, talk about a non issue. Like anything in life tho, an issue for one may not be an issue for another. I respect that it is an issue for some , for me it is not. Not sure how this affects the overall ability to use your device as you'd normally use it. Those mili seconds do add up.

the App Store on iOS 11 now updated Thursday with new apps which before it didn't
