How hard is it to make pressing home button shut app like ios 10.3.3 theres still a delay its annoying and i aint keep moaning but apple needs to stop the chopyness on ios 11 10 betas are insane to still have problems by now it should be perfect

If you don't think it is that hard to fix, why don't you call Apple and say that you want to fix it. Easy ;)

Software is complex, and none of us know the complexity and the issues in solving problems like these. People should educate themselves a bit and maybe try to get slightly familiar with coding, but it seems to be a lacking quality in people today. Everything is about quick fixes from the people who screams the most and the loudest.

For some of you experiencing lag and performance issues intstall via iTunes this time. See if it makes a difference.

Don’t just assume it won’t. ;)

True. Happened with me on beta 6. I decided I'll do a DFU since it was 6 betas and I was having standby and use time issues. Corrected after full restore and worked better.

I am getting public beta 9 instead of 10 when checking for update after installing the profile
Do you have the public beta profile, or the dev beta profile?

It is Dev Beta 10, Public Beta 9. The very first beta build was only a developer beta. The second developer beta was also released as Public Beta 1, so every subsequent build has lagged one behind for the public program.

plus he said after 10 betas it should be “perfect”. how many betas from 10.0-10.3.3? sure of a lot more than 10 (publicly available) and there are still bugs

I am taking the plunge on my daily driver 7 Plus for the first time ever. Will keep you guys posted on a first timer's experience coming from iOS 10.3.3
I haven't taken the plunge yet, so looking forward to your feedback.

i’m on a 6s, but it’s not too bad depending on what apps etc that you use. all the built in apps are pretty solid, but i’m not completely sure yet in terms of performance and battery life cause i haven’t done a DFU restore yet. the GM is under a week out and you can install without any profile. i’d just wait for that honestly, if i were you

i tought there was a delay closing apps, so open a new app was somehow slow and delayed, but the problem are animations, when I enable Reduce Motion everything feels a lot faster opening apps. comments?

No reason to stop releasing beta builds if they're still working on it, it doesn't accomplish anything. In fact, if they're still working on it, it's detrimental to Apple and to developers if they're stuck with an old, outdated build.

It's detrimental to Apple because they lose a very large testing pool, so they won't know as easily if bug fixes were effective, or if they introduced new bugs. It's detrimental to developers since they won't be able to test new app releases on a current version of iOS.

Be thankful that Apple is continuing to work on iOS 11, instead of complaining about it :)
Huh? I wasn't complaining.

I am facing worse animations on this beta on my iPad Pro 10.5”. Some apps like Safari opening and closing are rendering at cool 2-3 fps. As if there is no animation.

May be it is reindexing the f*** out of itself. Giving it more time.

I’ve got a good feeling going by the updated date on the feedback

Have you tried clearing the app switcher and do a clear RAM or restart device then relaunch the app?

Slow at first. But launch it again and it’s smooth. I wouldn’t worry. I noticed it with other apps too. I’ll give a day before deciding.

There some lag yes. I understand coding, I’m a developer myself for about 27 years. My question is: is it was ok with iOS 10.3.3 why isn’t with iOS 11? Doesn’t make sense because there shouldn’t be a downgrade of performance on something that was just fine on earlier builds.
Just my opinion and I also agree that people shouldn’t full this thread about the same issue, just be patient.

It amazes me that people don't feel that fixing lag should be a priority. It's literally changes your experience using the phone. You wouldn't wanna drive a car that sputters would you? When using a stuttery phone, it doesn't FEEL good. It just makes you feel like your phone is turning into a slow piece of junk right in front of your eyes.

I tried beta 9 on my iPad mini 4 and it was pretty laggy. I put it back on iOS 10.3.3 and it's so smooth that it makes it way more enjoyable to use. I wouldn't mind if apps just took a split second longer to load, but to see the animations judder and stutter really irks me.

Hi, what do you mean by a DFU restore?

Well as a developer I’ll talk to you as such. When working with a GUI, animations need to be ‘coded’. It seems like Apple changed the animations from iOS 10 and they haven’t fully optimized them. They also have Metal 2 which I’m guessing they are waiting is 100% finalized before they make the animations using the Metal framework.

The animations are definitely choppy but they seem unfinished. I’d be really disappointed if the good morning (edit phone replaced GM to good morning haha) hits and they have the same issue.
