cellular data isn't working. uh oh

When I first update to the beta, cellular data would not work but I kept it on WiFi for awhile before cellular data started working

App Store doesn’t update showing new apps and games with beta 2

You will need to close App Store from app switcher and then relaunch App Store to refresh apps. Tapping 10x on "Updates" does not refresh it in the betas nor it automatically refresh it

Mine is greyed out too. Guess because there is no more device running iOS 11 or Mac OS X 13.

Really? Ok. I just need to do a backup regularly.
I only have one device on iOS 11/macOS 10.13, but its not greyed out for me. But I don't have it turned on either.

Well. That feature seems to be random. I mean, Apple may randomly pickup a few users to test this feature.

iMassage Sync is now working for me

How to get it working:
  1. Enable Two Factor Authentification (I don‘t know if you really need this)
  2. Log out of your Apple Account and log in again
  3. You can disable iCloud sync in the iMassage settings now (In my case it worked) and disable it for your device
  4. Do a restart
  5. Now you can enable it again and it should start to sync now
After these steps, it woked for me. Please give it a try. :)
I will surely give up any new feature that requires 2FA, including this one.

The zeros in about, have a different font in things such as wig address and IMEI. See the screenshot above. Maybe those numbers use a different font after all.
It's been like that since beta 1! New font for easier reading.

I'm glad to see this... my iPhone 5S is no longer charging... The phone has been running very warm with these betas, was concerned that the hardware had been damaged. Since others are seeing it, then hopefully it's not the hardware. If it is the hardware, I smell a lawsuit. :)
Charged fine with Beta 1.
It's a beta, things will break and you've already agreed things will break by installing it.

I wish they added the ability to change the settings within apps themselves rather than dig into the settings app, scroll down, tap, scroll down, switch toggle, go back to original app. It’s so tedious.

For example in Safari; They could replace the new tab “+” button and move it next to your open tabs in the tab bar like in iOS 6. Then replace where the “+” button was previously with a settings button. Would make it so much simpler.

I love having settings all in one place in settings as I don’t have to remember or guess at anything - however I am totally for in app shortcuts to those settings.

I wouldn’t recommend ignoring it. Too many problems with social engineerin to turn it off. And, honestly, Apple has made this pretty painless.

battery drain with beta 2, usage & standby always the same, in general usage like youtube or safari, it appears to be consuming battery like normal, but with standby & graphic workloads like pokemon go, its bad unless low power mode is on (reduces most back to beta 1 levels but not all).

its hardly heating up either..just with pokemon go though, more than usual.

I saw people mentioning earlier that certain iPad models didn't seem to be charging under Beta 2. I'm having the same issue but it seems sort of wonky so I'd like to share some details of my experience. I use an Anker USB charging hub at my desk and when I first plugged it in I got a pop up saying that the accessory may not be compatible. Seen this before with other chargers and assumed it was just a bug since it's worked fine up until this point. However, while the battery icon changed to charging when I plugged it in, as soon as I dismissed the alert, it changed back to normal as if it weren't charging. Thinking it was a problem with the hub, I tried using an official iPad charger (big brick) as well as an official iPhone charger (small cube brick) and had the same issue. This was concerning as I thought that my iPad was doomed to be dead on this beta but I decided to just leave it plugged in and, although it didn't appear to be charging, when I came back later it was at 100%. So I'm thinking that it's either charging without showing the charging status or possibly only charging when the screen is off (seen this before but haven't had time to test).

Further details: I tested my iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods case with the same USB charging hub and they all seem to charge fine so it seems to be an iPad specific issue, at least for me. My issue device is an iPad Mini 4. Hope this helps.

In my case what always works is plugging in the charger first followed by the iPad. Once I unplug the cable from the iPad but keep the charger on the actual outlet and I plug it into the iPad again it stops working

This came up on beta 2, is this new? Lane guidance?

Yep. It was mentioned in the keynote and arrived in DP2. Haven’t remembered to try it yet but will try to do so tomorrow. Between speed limits and lane guidance it seems Maps has grown up into a mature GPS solution. The routing had been working well for me across London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Madrid, Paris, Arizona, D.C., Connecticut (and a few others I either don’t remember or don’t care to ;)) for me for a few years but this brings it up to replacing something like Navigon.

More POI and faster updates would be welcome of course. Not suggesting it’s perfect.

It looks like iTunes ringtones do not work with B2 (got iP7+)
and even if you set some of iTunes rings to be default one,
iPhone plays “opening’ ring (apple’s default) and not user defined melody.

If you do not use iTunes rings and you define different than “Opening” ring
then everything works fine.

I didn’t need to do any of that. I just turned it on and it Synced.

I do already have 2FA though due to using my watch to unlock my MBP.

A bug I have found which is persistent from Beta 1.

If you try and edit a photo and crop it. If you start from the top you can’t do it and end up pulling down the notification centre.

Reported it last time and again this time.

Give up on a feature (2FA) that WILL keep your account safer?
Will? Surely, it will help me to protect my account, until, it IS the reason why I am locked out of my account.
If my old iPhone has a damaged screen, and I buy a new iPhone, under 2FA, I may be locked out by a code that is displayed on old iPhone which I cannot see and do anything about it.
Current password solution is weaker, but at least you can fully customize tour security question answer. Under 2FA, those codes must match. No room for tricks. Also, code can also be obtained through social engineering. For hacker knowing password, they only need one code, to lock out account from original owner. I don’t really find anything changed in this 2FA. Also, many people only has an iPhone as a trusted device. SMS or landline may not be possible for some of them too.
I wouldn’t recommend ignoring it. Too many problems with social engineerin to turn it off. And, honestly, Apple has made this pretty painless.
Social engineering is still one powerful weapon to defeat 2FA, and the consequence could be more serious: account original owner could be locked out of his/her account completely by a hacker, even if they know everything they need to know. And for people with only an iPhone, replacing it could be risky. You can see my reply to another guy in this same post.

I’m seeing a lot of posts about the echo effect having orange messages but mine are still all blue after updating.

I'm not understanding the "on my device" part of the Files app. Is it just not active yet, or have I misunderstood its function? Lol. I thought it'd be like an iCloud Drive type deal but local, but I can't seem to do anything in there yet.

Beta 2 is so much beta than Beta 1! :)

The main issue for me is videos played via the Files app have sound only when using bluetooth headphones.

Anyone else notice that?

Screen recording games and other apps, it seems to default to portrait recording even if you are in landscape mode.
[doublepost=1498207052][/doublepost]App switcher is horrible, we need to be able to just flick the apps we want to full close, currently it’s worse than before.....press till you get the x and then try your best to hit it to close 乁( ◔ ౪◔)ㄏ
