What Location Services > System Services do you have on? Anything like Cell Network Search, Compass Calibration, Motion Calibration & Distance, WiFi Networking, Routing & Traffic? I think when these get triggered, they cause the icon to show. Not sure how long before they go away, but maybe this is it? Just a thought.
Yeah these are constantly being used which is probably why the icon doesn't go away, but there is a toggle in that setting screen that allows you to "hide" the status bar icon when a system service is using location. That toggle seems to be broken.

In iOS 10, having the toggle off, would only display icon when apps others than system services were using location.

Despite having UL data on all of my devices I'll admit to a bit of a "holy sh…!, er, crap!" moment this morning. I reset my main test iP6S+ handset late last night. I needed to take a road trip for a job, roaming on USCC's network so I wanted to enable roaming for data and voice (due to the reset). And, this…

… left me wondering if VZW would cut me off at the knees - 46.8GB of data? Frickin' yikes! I reset every billing period, and checked my account for this handset - only 3.5GB used for this period. Check your data usage, FWIW.

I wish they added the ability to change the settings within apps themselves rather than dig into the settings app, scroll down, tap, scroll down, switch toggle, go back to original app. It’s so tedious.

For example in Safari; They could replace the new tab “+” button and move it next to your open tabs in the tab bar like in iOS 6. Then replace where the “+” button was previously with a settings button. Would make it so much simpler.

My App Store changed to the US one instead of Canada for no reason and it won’t let me change it back.

In beta 2 I still cannot get email to show up when I get an email. No notification banner, sound or anything. Only when I go to the actual iOS mail app and open it does it come through. It works perfect with the third party gmail and yahoo apps.

I saw people mentioning earlier that certain iPad models didn't seem to be charging under Beta 2. I'm having the same issue but it seems sort of wonky so I'd like to share some details of my experience. I use an Anker USB charging hub at my desk and when I first plugged it in I got a pop up saying that the accessory may not be compatible. Seen this before with other chargers and assumed it was just a bug since it's worked fine up until this point. However, while the battery icon changed to charging when I plugged it in, as soon as I dismissed the alert, it changed back to normal as if it weren't charging. Thinking it was a problem with the hub, I tried using an official iPad charger (big brick) as well as an official iPhone charger (small cube brick) and had the same issue. This was concerning as I thought that my iPad was doomed to be dead on this beta but I decided to just leave it plugged in and, although it didn't appear to be charging, when I came back later it was at 100%. So I'm thinking that it's either charging without showing the charging status or possibly only charging when the screen is off (seen this before but haven't had time to test).

Further details: I tested my iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods case with the same USB charging hub and they all seem to charge fine so it seems to be an iPad specific issue, at least for me. My issue device is an iPad Mini 4. Hope this helps.

I'm glad to see this... my iPhone 5S is no longer charging... The phone has been running very warm with these betas, was concerned that the hardware had been damaged. Since others are seeing it, then hopefully it's not the hardware. If it is the hardware, I smell a lawsuit. :)
Charged fine with Beta 1.

I haven’t scanned this entire thread yet, but just installed the second beta earlier today. My Calender app icon is blank. If I open and close it, it will briefly display the date on the icon. A moment later it is a blank square with rounded edges again.

The zeros in about, have a different font in things such as wig address and IMEI. See the screenshot above. Maybe those numbers use a different font after all.

Just notice, that when music app is on lock screen, it also shows video (instead of cover art) if the song is in video format. Didn't notice this in BETA 1

It does that in iOS 10 as well, it's not a bug (may have on the earlier ones too - Current Period is when you clear it, you create the period, notice it doesn't say "Current Call period," meaning the period of time manual and set when you clear it).

Mine was like that also, rebooting the phone should fix it.

How's performance? I find the 6s to be mostly great but has hiccups when there is a lot for it to process. Anyways, how does the 7 fare out? (I wonder if the high power-low power configuration affects the performance in a good way)
Performance is better than the 1st beta for sure and it moves throughout the OS at decent speeds however a 6s shouldn’t really be all that different because I doubt the big/little core configuration on the 7 is being put to good use yet this early on

Something tells me the 7's CPU configuration will become useful over time. The 6s is pretty great still, but it has more limited efficiency/power usage strategies that can be applied based on its architecture.

If beta 2 is stable enough, I'll probably download the public beta... whenever it's released

except DropBox, for me anyway

I had that too, until I discovered that 5GHz wifi not working, had to switch to 2.4GHz. Anyone else having wifi issues?

I have google drive installed, and I am not seeing it in Files. Does it just appear, or does it need to be added somehow?

In Maps, when I select a location to drive to then pick the route I want... I press GO and nothing happens. This is a clean install on an iP7+... Very glitchy. Anyone else experience?
