iOS 11 Beta 3: Changes, Bug Fixes, Enhancements, etc.

This beta was a big regression and made my iPhone 7+ freeze and stutter like no other. I thought it had secretly installed a chinese Android OS cloaked in an iOS skin it was so bad...
I went ahead and wiped it, reinstalled and then restored. Putting all the apps back now and hoping that I see performance increases.

luckily I have a second phone to restore my 10.3.2 image to and use in the meantime if this beta can’t be used until next cycle.

Well I’m noticing PB2 is much more buggy than PB1.

i’m unable to download apps from the app store on both my iphone 7+ and ipad pro 10.5. After pressing “get” to download an app the circle just continues to spin without downloading the app. I have tried restarting both devices but it doesn’t appear to make any difference.

Probably problems with the appstore, I have the same problem on 10.3.3

T-Mo as well. My base One Plus is $75, and then adding 5 lines, I thought at $10 each, would be $125. Unless I derped?

Edit: I checked their site, I was totally wrong. My bad, sir. 4 lines for $160.

No problem. That’s where I’m at too. 4 lines for $160 then another $20 each for lines 5 & 6, puts me at $200.

I understand Siri Suggested apps with the little alarm clock icon (meaning I use that app frequently at that time of day) but what is the suggestion with the little location icon superimposed? Does that mean it’s suggesting an app I tend to use at a particular location?

Same here. But I turned the iPhone off and on then downloading worked from the App Store.

Bugs

• Brightness won’t fully go up on some devices. (iPhone 7)

Don’t know if this is what’s affecting iPhone 7 users but I’ve had this problem with my 6s Plus and I managed to find out why, so I hope this helps some others.

Just tonight, I found that for some reason ‘reduce white point’ was set at 80% (Settings > Accessibility > Display Acommodations) turning off ‘reduce white point’ restored my brightness level. (I don’t use it so for some reason iOS 11 activated it.)

I only found this out as I was trying the new Smart Invert under invert colours, which while activated, Smart Invert put my brightness back up to the correct 100% level. which lead me to play around in that part of the settings and that’s how I found the reduce white point setting was on.

glad I found it as trying to see my screen unless its at 100% was a nightmare.

Yeah this is ridiculous. Which Keyboard is it ? I'm using French Canadian.

Anyways, I just reported it to Apple. I hope this change won't make it to the final, they're focusing so much on selling us "full-size keyboards" on the iPad and MacBooks.

I am using English, Chinese, Japanese and Greek (for a few math characters) keyboards. I don’t use keyboard in landscape a lot so not really a big deal to me for now.

Really seems like Apple went backwards with Beta 3. Compared to iOS 9 and iOS 10 Beta developments, this appears to be the most problematic update I have seen :/

We can bicker on about it’s a beta etc but I hear ya as though Apple did take a complete step back with this version. Nearly wanting to revert back to 10.3.3 but can’t be bothered to go through the process transferring all the boll0cks at the moment.

Patiently waiting for 2 more weeks for the next broken beta to come out. ‍

Yes. It happens to me when on the lockscreen. Only way around this is to lock your rotation. I reported the bug. Worst. Beta. Ever.

Am I the only one who can’t set a new key photo on Live Photos? The slider that comes up doesn’t react to any input and it haven’t done so in any of the PB’s

Having issues with Apple TV remote app. I have a dual band router, both Apple TV and device is connected to 5ghz network but app will only find Apple TV when on 2.4ghz. Anyone else find this issue? Has worked fine up until iOS 11.

Both need to be on the same band for the remote to find the ATV. If one is on 2.4GHz and another on 5GHz it won’t work.

Just do it im back to 10.3.3 beta 6 which is final and its like heaven got my phone but to being fast and no bugs and amazing batt life, ios 11 doesn't bring anything new to the table so dont bother im to stuck now on my watch tho

What method did you do to go back, read about so many ways, did you also lose any data?

I just downloaded ipws and restore thru itunes i always just re put my apps back and use icloud back up

I just re install my apps and use icloud for contacts etc then set up as new phone l have ocd and like it fresh haha but yeah thats how i do i miss using my watch but ios 11 brought nothing new to the table for me and its to slow for me to use
