iOS 11 Beta 3: Changes, Bug Fixes, Enhancements, etc.

You’re not alone! Same issue on my 6s on DB3. Monday it is.
What solved the hot phone issue for me (for now at least) was deleting all photos on my iPhone 7 (running iOS 11 DB 3) using image capture on a Mac (of coursed I turned off iCloud Photo Library first). Once the phone was empty of pics I turned on iCloud Photo Library (setting it to optimize iPhone storage). Battery life also (not surprising)much improved.
I would only recommend trying this if your Photos app is continually trying to update (unsuccessfully).

Bit late on this but I cba to scroll through to read it all, got the iOS 11 base beta but so buggy, just download the profile again but no sign of the new .3 updates? Anyone?
There is no .3 update. Developers are now on the third beta of iOS 11.0 and Public Beta testers are on Public Beta #2, also of iOS 11.0 (and Is the exact same software as the Developer beta). There should be a new beta for everyone next week (Dev beta 4/Public Beta 3) so hang in there.
Would love to see a global keyboard shortcut for media controls added in ios11. Play/pause specifically. Would be so handy for podcast playback.

Ahh I see thanks very much, I can’t wait this is terrible atm just had it completely crash on me because I turned the light on to max and it wouldn’t allow me to restart
Similar stuff has happened to/ with me on my iPhone 7. Every single time when I reboot, I get pst message notifications with sound. However, intermittently, sounds such as iTunes Store "Touch to Install" sound, iMessage sound, etc. just stop, making me wonder if my speaker went dead or what.
Did you notice it get hot again afterwards? It may just be indexing photos and faces.
No one knows for sure, but seems to be a good likelihood, as it’s been 2 weeks since Beta 3 was released.
I’ve noticed that the screen no longer stays active in a dimmed state when plugged in playing music anymore. Does anyone know if this is an intentional change?
Anyone having issues downloading apps on this beta with their iPad?
For some reason I can install updates on my 5th gen iPad but when trying to download new apps it just hangs. I get the circle but it just hangs in an infinite loop without downloading anything.

I am also having this same issue. A couple of things I have found. If you are trying to download a previously downloaded apps then this occurs. That is using the cloud icon rather than Get....I had this issue previously and was able to resolve by reading neutral settings but this has not had any impact this time.
Looking forward to next public beta.
iOS in this beta is doing a whole bunch of stuff that constantly taxing the processor. I can even barely watch HEVC encoded video without dropping frames.
Xcode instruments show that my media player only uses up to 5% of processing power. No wonder why it is impossible to decode HEVC.

I’m having the same issue. Battery life tanked with this beta over the previous 2
Same issue here. Can’t change night shift schedule on iPad after resetting all settings. It is set at 10pm - 7am which is totally useless for me. Have tried switching locations on and off but made no difference.
I don’t recall this being mentioned here, so hopefully someone will have an answer for you.
FYI, rather than slogging through 40 pages of posts, You could use the search feature. It would work particularly well in your case as your search would have the very discrete term “Showtime” in it.
