Sorry. I wasn’t clear. My impression is that they are not actually downgrading watches to WatchOS 3 but rather just replacing them. Mine was replaced with a series 1.

May be related to this https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...-need-of-repair-with-series-1-models.2057655/

I think this has always been the case. I could be wrong, but I think Apple always sent a replacement device. I doubt they want to take the the time to have a bunch of techs downgrading watches.

Makes sense. But what is new is that they are replacing series 0 watches in some cases with series 1 watches. I sent in my series 0 sport because of battery issues a few months ago and it was replaced with another series 0 sport.

Installed iOS 11 Beta 2 on my iPad last night. Man this OS is buggy! I have a hard time believing they'll sort this all out in just a couple of months. Maybe it won't be AS buggy, but there are so many UI glitches. Icons overlapping, stuff getting stuck for no reason, general slowness, frame drops everywhere and other graphical oddities.

Before anyone chimes in... Yes, I know it's a BETA. I get it. I know what betas are for, but hear me out. Based on my past experiences, the final release is still pretty buggy and you'll have to wait 6 months to a year before it's finally polished and then they roll out another major OS and get the bugs flowing again.

I think I'll stay on 10 for as long as I can.

Good day,

I have a question regarding the "files" app in iOS 11.

Dos it act like "finder" on a Mac ? Let say I have a word document saved in the files app, if I open the file to edit it in Pages, does it make a copy of the file which is exported to Pages, or does Pages edit the file with changes saved to the "files" app storage?

Are files that are kept in the files app able to be opened and edited with multiple apps without a new copy being created in each app used to edit said file? Or will a new file be created for each app that is used?

Is it a real file system or just a spotlight eiditable window that shows file we select to see there?

I really hope that the files app is the end of the duplicate hell that iOS can be.

I went back to 10.3.3 and it's night and day. The only thing I care about is my photos/videos but all that is saved on the cloud via Google Photos.

I know this has been around since beta 1, but why did they take all of the extra keys like copy and paste off of the landscape iPhone 6/7 Plus keyboard? I actually used those and the centered keyboard with white space around it looks off.

My 7 plus gets pretty warm; sometimes even hot to the touch, while running the beta. Is this normal? I ran the iOS 10.X betas and never had this issue..

mine did too - i downgraded back to ios 10 - it was too hot especially GPS and on charger in my car im waiting for the official release

I don't know. Beta 3 of iOS 10 was pretty rock solid. I was able to test all of iOS 10, starting with Beta 1 and had hardly any issues, only hiccups. Beta 2 on iOS 11 was really, really unstable for me. So unstable that I won't go back to 11 from 10.3.3 probably until the GM.
Yeah it seems to vary from people to people. I remember iOS 10 being not SO bad, I think iOS 8 and 7 were by far the worst for me. Even Xcode betas and macOS betas these summers were un-usable (like, literally, one time the latest Xcode Beta wasn't even compatible with the latest macOS Beta).

I've been thinking the same thing with my current devices. My 6s and air 2 run as good if not better as the day I bought them on 10.3.3 and I really don't need/want anything 11 brings to table other than the safari scrolling improvements.

Went back to 10 myself and 10.3.3 runs flawlessly on my iPhone 7.

Now we’ll have to wait until 11.3.3 for iOS 11 to be as stable.

You may need to re-enable location services (specifically Setting Time Zone).
I have those all enabled, and I still can't put it in automatic, by sunrise.
[doublepost=1500689259][/doublepost]Since the reset all settings on my 7+, having little bugs, now the phone has a lot of bugs, the only good thing is that the battery life has become a little bit better, so its best to not do a reset all settings yet.

Yeah my iPhone 7 is also uncomfortably warm. I have started to worry about how good it is for the phone and the components in the long run, especially the battery.

I feel you. I just reset all settings on my 7 a few days ago and not I can’t even tap on “Scheduled” to change the schedule of Night Shift, let alone set to Sunset-Sunrise. Anyone have a fix?

This is usually to do with location settings and setting time zone automatically.
