Is anyone getting strange behavior with Messages? Every time I reboot my phone, I suddenly get 3-4 text/iMessages that "arrive", but they are messages that I already had received (and since deleted) from days/weeks ago. It's almost like the Messages syncing to iCloud is messed up and remembering old messages and sending them to my phone again as new.

I have Messages on iCloud enabled on both my iPhone 7+ and my iPad Air 2, both running iOS 11 PB2. I also have Text Message Forwarding turned on on my iPhone 7+ to go to my iPad from iOS 10. I'm wondering if the two settings are conflicting somehow (as the forwarding seems a little redundant if both devices are set up for Messages on iCloud).

Yes, this has happened to me.

Swiping to the left to spotlight sometimes results in a black loading screen and takes me to the keypad menu. Is this because my Air 2 doesnt have enough RAM to run iOS 11?

power button doesnt do anything on my iPad Air 2 and suddenly a minute later the slide to shut down screen appears and when i dismiss it my wallpaper is gone for a bit as well (simply black). happens every time and on the beta before as well.

opening the smart cover doesnt turn on my screen either

iPad Ui is in the wrong language or a mix of english and german after the reboot, havent found a way to fix it yet

Just noticed that Resetting All Settings does not make you go through the Hey Siri setup if you had it previously setup. You just turn it on and it’s already setup from before.
They must be using iCloud to sync that in iOS 11 as in iOS 10 I had to set up Hey Siri each time I reset my settings.

I didn't realize I didn't have to set up Siri again, but I did notice that my finger prints were still stored.

I’ve never seen this before. Anyone else?

Also, doesn’t work for all names - not many in fact. But quite cool. The screenshot I posted in the message thread is what appears when you click the name.

This was an iOS 10 feature. In my opinion, it had a lot of promise, but didn't get implemented well. Works with popular musicians, some movies and albums and airplane flights if you type in the airline abbreviation and flight number. Some restaurant names will trigger as well.

Is it a bug in this beta where the battery depletes drastically at once like from 53% to 25% intstantly? Does recalibrating battery fix that?

I have to say, iOS 11 really gets to me. Just out of frustration I hit "Reset all Settings".

All of a sudden, a media app to stream videos stopped working. It did work with iOS 11 Pb 1 and 2 for weeks now – but today, it started crashing every single time I started a video.

Next, Lifesum, which worked – with a lot of crashes in iOS 11. Just an hour ago, it "lost" all activity data and doesn't seem able get it from the Health app.
I really hate to say it, but how they'll be able to fix everything broken in iOS 11 in just eight weeks is beyond me.
The only reason why Apple recommends using betas on secondary devices and not main.

Really seems like Apple went backwards with Beta 3. Compared to iOS 9 and iOS 10 Beta developments, this appears to be the most problematic update I have seen :/
I was just about to say the opposite. This is actually one of the sole betas I've tested since iOS 7 that doesn't have any deal breakers for me, at least on my iPhone 6S. Which leads me to believe this is going to be a rock solid stable release in September.
Sure, it does crash a few times, it does hang, but at this stage of summer ? It's nothing compared to previous years.

I don't know. Beta 3 of iOS 10 was pretty rock solid. I was able to test all of iOS 10, starting with Beta 1 and had hardly any issues, only hiccups. Beta 2 on iOS 11 was really, really unstable for me. So unstable that I won't go back to 11 from 10.3.3 probably until the GM.

I'd probably go this route if I hadn't already updated my watch.
Apple downgraded my out of warranty series 0 aluminum watch for free to watchOS 3. What they did was send me a replacement watch running watchOS 3. The pleasant surprise was that it is a series 1 watch. So happy to be back on watchOS 3 and very very happy to have the much snappier series 1.

Really?! As a temp loaner until your original gets back to you or....?

Same here. I don’t wanna lose what I’ve done on my phone since installing the beta 3 weeks ago.

I actually just got forced to do so. Followed a 9to5Mac article on how to downgrade my phone without losing data and of course, like an idiot, I thought it would work. Well... it bricked my phone. Luckily DFU restore to 10.3.3 worked.

Lost all text messages from June 27th on. Luckily, they are on my iPad synced to the cloud, so maybe when iOS 11 goes public, I'll be able to sync those to my phone again.

TL; DR - I'm an idiot and should have stayed on iOS 10 to begin with.

I'm having issues where my phone favorites doesn't list the name associated with the phone number and Siri is not registering phone numbers with respective contacts. They are still there in each contact though. I signed out of iCloud and signed back in, but the problem still remains.

Is anyone else having issues with this?

I have that issue too. As you say, contacts are fine, it’s just the favourites list that doesn’t show a name.

If you add a new favorite, or the same once more, it fixes the problem. It did for me... Then you can delete the new favorite

You're lucky that your phone app actually works. Most of the time mine can't open, and if it does open, it's stuck and I can't press anything. Not even a force quitting helps :/

Well -> iOS 11 beta bug report number 57, here we go. I really find it difficult to believe that some people find this very stable?? Definitely not stable on an iPhone 7

The new Siri voice won’t download for me, it is stuck at 0% all the time when downloading. Does anyone have a fix for that? I already tried rebooting and even reinstalling iOS 11 but nothing helped...
