Settings -> General -> Shut Down

This is new as of beta 4, yeah?
Accessibility thing if unable to physically press the power button maybe?

New screen when you tap a notification while the device is locked. It’s probably to teach people to use Touch ID and not put the passcode. It does still give you the option though. This is a nice update.

It is nice!
They should use this when you attempt to preview a locked notification using 3D Touch

Anyone else seeing massive battery drain by Photos background activity? Not just in this beta but also the last one. It’s using up more than half my battery, with something like 7 hours in the background by the end of the day. I’ve restored from a backup, turned iCloud off and back on, and updated to the new beta but nothing will stop it

Hoping to see this fixed in Public Beta 4 myself. Beta 3 has had serious Safari and Photos background usage issues, at least for me. I have to constantly force close safari or reset the phone or some process won't close in the background. Photos literally took up 43% of my battery one day despite showing "screen time 2 min - Background 16 min". I had the phone just sitting on my desk for around an hour and it went from 95% to 82% due to background activity. So yeah, something was very broken in beta 3. Crossing fingers for Beta 4

Anybody seeing high background usage in settings? Any ideas what’s causing it?

In context of the above, there is one issue. Since Handoff icons are not visible on the lock screen anymore, the only way to get to them was the app switcher. Now, if you have closed all apps, you cannot open app switcher, meaning - no handoff. So for that, if it is important, we may need to keep at least one app open.

Also, 3D Touch lag seems to have increased.

Also, the text shortcuts still do not work on 3rd party keyboards.
Or you could just follow Apple’s suggestion for years and...not waste your time keeping all apps closed.

Revolutionary.

Is anyone else annoyed with how big the fonts are in the App Store? It’s like Apple decided that all iPhone users are blind now.....

screw accessibility...I HATE pressing down both the power switch and the down volume button. Maybe my OCD hates seeing the volume go down when I don't really want to do that or the fact that it is difficult to do both on my Rokform case.

Either way, glad I can do it without button presses now...thanks!

All you have to press is the power button alone, then slide to power off. But yeah this will allow for no physical button press at all if you desire to wade through menus to power down a device.

The last beta totally rescanned your entire Photos collection. My 56K took almost 3 days to rescan. Once it finished my Photos battery usage went way down. Just installed PB3 will see if anything changes.

Apple added full release notes to the Feedback app under Inbox.

Any Carplay improvements with Beta 4?
I will test it in 1 hour...

After closing an app and swiping to go to your next page of apps, there is a stutter going to the next page?

Sorry...In my excitement, I thought there was a way to do a "Hard Restart" without pressing buttons...nevermind...

But damn...isn't that a good idea??

I still have an issue with Photos on iPad whereby photo previews for some images are wrongly orientated (in most cases rotated once to the right, sometimes completely reflected), then get corrected when the image is opened, returning to incorrectly displayed when they minimise again.
