Is this preview at the bottom when in messages showinG iCloud is sync i messages new? Just noticed it when i plugged phone in to charge and opening messages app

Or you could just follow Apple’s suggestion for years and...not waste your time keeping all apps closed.

Revolutionary.

Rush to assume all you wish. I stated later on in another post that I know this and have followed it for everything it is but I still close down games. That's it.

How is the battery life on iPhone 7 and is there still the problem with the downgrade or if I don't like the Public Beta 3, can downgrade easy to iOS 10.3.3?

Found a major security flaw with this release. Pertains to messages on the lock screen. With the phone locked, sliding left on a text and clicking view will allow you to read and reply to the message. I reported it through the feedback app. I suggest you guys do as well.

Apple added full release notes to the Feedback app under Inbox.

CarPlay
Resolved Issues

Users should no longer get an error message when selecting Don’t Reply after reading a message in CarPlay.“

I use it daily and it is much improved. Even Spotify actually works and allows you to select the repeat and shuffle track on screen buttons. (Broken since B1)

Far more responsive as well

It’s supposed to be like that, and always has been.

Turn previews OFF for the Messages app and it will no longer do this.

Anyone having issues updating and installing apps through the app store? Since the last beta when I click Update it just spins and haven't been able to install anything new (just spins), but if I leave the phone along and check it later some of the apps do eventually update. I'm not sure what triggers them to go through. I have two apps that need updating and clicked update 10 minutes ago and they still have no progress, but if I check later tonight they may have been updated.

Did you find any performance improvements?
CarPlay:
No crashes. Dynamic rerouting works perfectly - I usually get 1 to 2 rerouting messages on my way (40min - 50min for 21-38km) to/from work in Vienna which I can either accept with „ok“ or reject by tapping „no thanks“ in the small window at the bottom left corner (Audi A4 2016). TuneIn Radio works as designed.
Speed limits and lane guidance still not released for Austria and Germany but that should be independent of the beta release - Apple can activate those 2 features whenever they want - that’s what someone said here some time ago.

Same here July 20th

Anyone figure out a fix for this? My App Store still shows July 20th as well on the Today landing page.

Actually, that's what I was getting on DB2 and DB3, but since DB4, they seem to update lightning fast now. Not sure why it's not doing so for you.

You can turn that off in Touch ID & Passcode settings.
Message preview is off and reply with message is off in passcode and fingerprint settings. This was checked before . It is a security issue.

That was already checked before posting. Everything is off and it still allows you to read and reply.

Sorry...In my excitement, I thought there was a way to do a "Hard Restart" without pressing buttons...nevermind...

But damn...isn't that a good idea??
Well supposedly the only time you need/should do a hard restart is when the device is locked up anyway. So no way to get to a menu/soft option in that condition. Think of it like this, your PC locks up and you cannot do anything. The only option is to pull the plug from the wall and plug back in to reboot it. Same deal here effectively.

If you have assistive touch on you can do that.
Not if its locked up thereby actually needing to do a hard reset.

That is a server side app store issue. Nothing to be done until Apple actually fully turns on the new app store.

Actually, on almost all PC's/Laptops, don't you just hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds until it restarts?

But I get what you are saying...the physical button aspect of it is necessary because the screen will typically be frozen or unable to access a menu.

Message text is not centred within the message bubble, appears too low. Only happens when a message fits on a single line. Anyone else seeing this?

This is happening on my iPhone 7 Plus and iPad mini 4, but my friend says his messages are fine on his iPhone 6s. This is weird.

Setting your system date manually to July 20 should fix it. It will bring the App Store up-to-date with the current date - July 20.

Going into Notifications > Messages and disabling previews from there works. Setting anything from Unlocked to Never to Always, works correctly from here.

Also, I see the text is garbled at the top centre, so this might be something broken for the meantime.

Just installed beta 4. My first test of iOS 11.

Is it just me, but locking and unlocking the screen (no password or touch id) seems really laggy.

Also how do you find the app store updates file size??

I do not think you find the file size of the update anymore. The lords currently do not deem it fit that you do.

I have the same from problem on my iPhone 7. I have reply with message disabled under TouchID and passcode. Also, under notifications—> iMessage, I have it set to never. The phone doesn’t respect any of these parameters.

If I 3D Touch the iMessage notification or slide to the right it asks for my fingerprint/ passcode. If I slide to the left and press view, it shows the message and lets me reply.

I reported this is the feedback app, but couldn’t screen recording with my screen locked.
