I am not sure if anyone pointed this out. But I bought a new iPad Pro 10.5 and it immediately recognised the iPad Air 2 to start importing data into it. Quite cool, huh?

They touched on this during the keynote but I haven't seen many folks posting about it. How was your experience with the transfer? Very cool feature I think.

I didn’t use it because I wasn’t aware of it and, hence, I had my previous iPad already formatted. At least, it recognised there was another iPad close by as I configured mine.

Yeah, but the "hidden" album doesn't exist anymore.
And you should see those "hidden" pictures on other albums, if located there.

Not sure why the hidden album shows up for me. Tapping into that shows all the photos I’ve hidden.

I have distinct albums that I used to categorize photos—RAW, for example—that I hid from view but, as you described, those photos are no longer showing up and appear instead only in that hidden album.

I used it to set up one of my phones. It transfers settings like wifi, etc.. then you get the prompt to set up from existing backup or new. I had no issues with it.

So I installed PB3. I realize it's still setting itself up and formatting things all that... but sheesh, 10% drain in maybe 10 minutes since I unplugged after the upgrade finished.

This beta feels considerably laggier, buggier and generally slower than beta 3, for me that beta worked amazing aside from some annoying bugs, I hadn’t seen my iPad work that fast before,

I experienced this weird bug:
Listened to spotify with beats solo 3
Phone Rings
Answered the call while music was playing
Suddenly music came out of the earpiece and my call wasnt understandable.
Was not able to Pause the music via beats, Cause this ended the call.

I’ve experience the same bug in iOS 10. I only upgraded the iPad with PB3 but I would not there use a beta on my iPhone.

Not sure it happened using my Beats solo 3 but twice it happened with my AirPods. My guess is a bug between the W1 chip protocol and the iPhone as both AirPods and Beats3 use them.

It will get better overtime. My first 24h were bad, followed by “normal” battery in the next cycle and now I think battery life has actually improved from iOS 10.

I did, however, change the White point setting... less brightness, less power

Camera, Music, iMessage, Maps (including the widget), Twitter, Facebook, Untappd, Home, Hipstamatic, Oggl, eBay, Amazon, Deliveries, WoW Legion Companion, and my banking apps.

HSBC India app did not go past first screen on beta 3. Works fine on beta 4.
QuickBooks Online app crashed big time on the "Dashboard" screen on beta 3. Does the same on beta 4.

Overall, some apps have started working better (read: as expected) in beta 4 versus beta 3. That'a always a good thing.

Quick question, has the downgrade to 10.3.3 via DFU mode been fixed in beta 4/PB3?

I want to know too
That was fixed in b3 and Apple included links to get the ipsw file for 10.3.3 beta. Now its been updated since 10.3.3 was officially released. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203282

Hmm. refreshing fine for me.

Same here, I don't get the phone recents issue.
This is in the beta 4 release notes:
Phone
New Issues
• The call history list in the Recents tab does not update immediately, which can result in
the second number in the list being dialed when the the first number in the list is selected.
Saved contacts are not affected by this issue. (33094744)

Just a question about downgrading from the beta back to the latest release version...

Since installing the beta I've backed up via iCloud, will I still be able to downgrade and restore from iCloud? I've had it before where my iCloud backup was a newer version than the iOS version I was on if that makes sense... Also I've messed with a few live pics and added a few loops on them (backed up with apple photos) would they revert back or just be screwed up?

Thanks!
No not the iCloud backup. If you have backed up to iCloud while on iOS 11 that will not restore back to 10.3.3. You need an iTunes backup prior to ver 11. OR you can try the shift/update method and use the iOS 10.3.3 ipsw file. That used to work fine but no idea if still does with 11 or not.

Is it just me or has the font in Reminders and Notes been changed in iOS 11? I don’t have an iOS 10 device to compare to so I can’t be sure. But it’s defnintely not the San Francisco font Apple has been using since iOS 9.

Fonts have changed, yes. :)

The black screen while launching apps is back for me in this beta. Only happening with third party apps so far.
