Yeah, it's quite sad that Apple takes time to remove a line from the camera icon or round some corners in the CC by a couple of pixels instead of focusing on fixing real bugs and slowdowns.

What makes you think the same team is doing both? I imagine they have a UI/graphics design team tweaking visual aspects, and a whole bunch of other team dealing with technical problems.

I'm pretty sure there are multiple groups that work on this. The people working on the deep bugs are more than likely completely separated from the people doing graphics stuff.

You can't save to the base of it but that's by (questionable) design. You should be able to save to an existing folder though. Transmit or Pixelmator for example will create such a folder when you save locally in them.
Ah, ok. So it’s actually not all that different from how iOS 10 handles local storage. It’s essentially on an app-by-app basis, and Files doesn’t allow you to create folders independently of that.

Yep. Looks like you'll still need a 3rd party app to do the kind of local storage management a lot of people ask for. However, now those apps will be able to integrate into Files.

Yesterday I wasn't able to restore stock apps that had been deleted, not sure if it's due to having rebooted my device at some point or something on Apple's end but I can restore stock apps fine now.

...&M?

----------

Also... 9to5mac was reporting that the level/grid crosshairs when pointing the camera down when taking a photo is new. No idea if it was there previously since I don't use the grid.
Camera+ had something like this and I loved it. It's great that Apple is implementing this in the stock Camera.

I actually experience this dark/dim when closing apps in the app switcher. After letting it settle, it disappeared and this beta is actually solid.

Anyone noticed same kinds problems and how is the performance running maps etc on the new beta ?
Thx!
Molly

After 24 hours on the iPad Pro 10.5, I'm seeing an improvement in battery consumption as well. DB4 would discharge at about 9-10% per hour, while doing the things I usually do on a daily basis, i.e. writing 10-20 emails, marking up a few pdfs with the Pencil, browsing the web a few hours, typing up a few page long documents in Word, looking at a few Powerpoints, doing some Excel work, all mostly with the Apple keyboard attached except for the Pencil work.

With DB5 I saw 6% per hour drain today. Its just one day, but I think there may be an improvement, because DB4 was consistently 9-10% per hour.

New labels when turning on and off settings in Control Center.

Swipe Down to Dismiss on a notification on iPad, dosen’t seems to work on iPhone 5S.

Someone complained that too much space was left open in Weather. So they did this. :D Apple listens and responds appropriately.....

Mine doesn’t look like that, still sloppy, big and wasteful.

Am I listening to music wrong? I haven't encountered my music shuffling unless I enable it myself.

It’s been this way on all betas for me...no matter what I do.

Pick an album, start playing the first song, will automatically shuffle to another song on the album (or playlists)

Shuffle button does not “highlight” at all.
