iOS 11 Beta 5: Changes, Bug Fixes, Enhancements, etc.

Hey,
beta 4 worked quite well but in beta 5 I think it was a step back concerning stability. Since installing it 2 days ago on my iPhone 7 Plus I got lots of serious issues:

- Several times a day, most of the time when locking the phone, it becomes unresponsive to touchscreen and power button. It still responds to loudness and mute switch. It even turns to standby after 1 minute and reacts, when it is liftet. Then you still are able to unlock it unsing touch ID, but can't use ist, because the touchscreen and power button won't work. Only hard reset fixes this. Very annoying!
- Last night I woke up, because my phone vibrated every few seconds. The screen was black and this little circle rotated. A hard reset was the solution.
I'm having trouble adding a homebridge installation in Beta 5 on both my iPad Pro and 6S. Can anyone else confirm if this related to the Beta (it previously was working)?
Apple News app 3D Touch pop up is still not working for me. When I 3D touch the icon, I get the box open up and a very brief look at the news item that should be in that box, before it disappears and cannot be seen again. So all I get is an empty box with no news item.
Any ideas?

Is it possible that the smart insert colors feature drain more battery if activated? my phone goes hot very quicly when I use my phone in that mode and it seems it lag more when open and closent apps in top fo the battery drain more quickly.

I dont realy like his videos as well. Just the title sounds like the new version have tons of new feature when in fact 95% of his video are about very minor asthetics changes that nobody realy rares.

his videos like this annoy me. I mean when he got to the part where he showed that the health icon was a tiny bit brighter than beta 4 I was done LMAO. He finds so many stupid minutia changes it’s ridiculous. ♂️♂️♂️

Just installed beta 5 on my iPhone 6s plus. Didn’t change a single setting... however, now when I go into Apple maps or 3D Touch on the maps app to get travel time to home, my home location isn’t recognized by it, nor is my parked car location. Again, worked fine before. Interestingly, though, if I ask Siri to navigate home, it does work. Also if I type Home in the maps search field, home will pop up as an option. Anybody else having this issue?

Literally the entire point of this guy’s videos is to exhaustively document every change he can find between beta versions. If you’re not interested in this level of detail, don’t watch them.

I'm not complaining, I know this kind of technical videos have an audience. What I dont like is the title he gives on his videos. He clearly said 90 new FEATURES and changes. Its clearly meant to have many youtube views because in fact, its more like 90 littles changes and refinements than anything else.
90+ new features and changes is accurate. Some are features (eg new audio indicator in Control Centre); some are changes (more rounded rectangles). Cumulatively, they total 90+ items.

News aren’t loading anymore though
when opening up the app it’s just loading endlessly. 
This is not an issue of the iOS Beta, but Spotify. Go to Playback settings and disable "Enable Audio Normalization" setting
Had this happen to me on beta 4. I had to resort to a Reset All Settings to fix it.
Just noticed when updating my apps the update button has been changed to "Buy". Not sure if that was present in the previous betas. Seems a bit odd to use that term for updating apps.
Just stands for the "golden master" version i.e. the final retail/master/public release version of a software after alpha, beta and any release candidate versions.

Gold Master. It’s the build that is considered the candidate for public release (and usually is unless a major bug is found).
Anyone else having an issue with the Music app just freezing on the last song played but the next song playing just fine. You can pause and then resume and the next song appears just fine.
Dang!!! I was hoping to avoid that.
What’s weird is Onalso have Google Maps installed and it recognizes it fine.
