It might happen cause Gmail is not updated for the iOSBadge icons still don’t disappear after reading new emails in the Gmail app.
This beta is pretty stable for me, almost GM worthy. Don't get me wrong, there's some bugs here and there, but it's mostly pretty stable, quick, and I'm not really having anything annoy me or negatively impact my experience.
Same here. Problem also on the native mail app.Badge icons still don’t disappear after reading new emails in the Gmail app.
Not here sorry mate. ♂️
I guess it's not an issue with iOS 11, but the app needs to be updated.Badge icons still don’t disappear after reading new emails in the Gmail app.
Had this happen to me on beta 4. I had to resort to a Reset All Settings to fix it.
I finally got it to work. It took multiple profile removals and restarts, but my 10.5” iPad Pro finally saw the update a day later. I have never experienced a problem like this before. I hope your iPad sees the update soon.Even I am facing the same issue. I am unable to install the iOS 11 beta 5. Did it work for you.
Steps followed were as below:
Currently I have iOS 11 beta 4 installed on my iPad. As iOS 11 beta 5 released last night, I tried installing the iOS 11 beta 5 and the install does not work. Steps followed:
I tried deleting the beta profile and tried installing again.Same behaviour.
- Go to beta.apple.com
- Login with developer credentials
- Enroll Your Devices
- Click on iOS
- Download Profile
- Navigates to Settings.
- Click Install
- Enter passcode
- iPad Restarts to apply changes
- Once restarted the iPad shows already upto date. However, the build id is same as the of iOS 11 beta 4.
Thanks in advance!
Well this beta seems to be worse for me! That lock screen glitch that people mentioned earlier happened to me, screen went dark. Once I got to my homepage, phone was dead, couldn’t scroll or open any apps, my power button didn’t work so I couldn’t lock my phone. It took me 5 minutes to realise that the new reboot system for the 7plus is holding the power and volume buttons together. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen again. I honestly don’t understand how things can go worse from one Beta to another. Isn’t it suppose to become better with each beta?

My original post clearly stated that I have a developer beta account.Beta.apple.com is the public beta so of course you wouldn’t get it till the following day.
This tends to be an issue during the beta process. It doesn't usually get addressed until very late in the process.Ram management is still very bad on this beta.

I do have a developer beta account, and I downloaded my developer beta profile from the developer beta website. Like I said before, developer beta 5 is the only beta that I have had an issue with while having the developer beta profile on my iPad Pro.You may do, but beta.apple.com is the public beta site, so if you downloaded a profile from there you got the public beta which is released at least a day after the developer beta.
Ok the 3D touch multitasking removal is a damn crime... it was my favorite feature of 3D touch and they removed it for God knows why....
Could it be that it was really laggy (as I see most 3D touch uses are laggy atm)
Whatever the reason its unacceptable, as now i am force to push that damn button over and over again. Feels like i downgraded back to IOS9 on that regard...
Old post I know, but did you forget that iOS 10 had 8 betas? We might get the same amount for iOS 11.6, maybe 7. Most X.0 beta's stop around 5-6.
Beta 4 -> 5 was only 8 days last year. It was 14 days this year. That alone removes a beta from the equation unless they start releasing them every 5-6 days starting now, which is highly unlikely.Old post I know, but did you forget that iOS 10 had 8 betas? We might get the same amount for iOS 11.
Interesting....badge did not go away in Gmail app; did go away when read from mail app. Tried to close Gmail and iPad froze. Hard restart and badge is gone.Same here. Problem also on the native mail app.
I hope you have logged on bug portal.
