iOS 11 Beta 5: Changes, Bug Fixes, Enhancements, etc.

It would be very hard to argue that later betas aren't closer to final release than Beta 1.

Reminders icon still flipped, settings icon is darker inside the gear. Camera icon looks a bit different perhaps.

It looks horrendous (reminders icon).

Yeah that's stopping me right now :/ Had that issue on my 7 Plus back on Beta 1.

I’ve only been running the beta since PB2/DB3 and I will say that the latest build before today (PB3/DB4) was a vast improvement just from the previous build. I’m sure that today’s beta will be substantial jump over beta 1. As others have said though, if you’re worried about bugs and battery life, the betas probably aren’t for you. You only have about a month before public release at this point anyway.

I guess we don't have to hear about it being grayed out for anyone.

Screen recording status bar is now red instead of blue.

Done button and back/forward buttons when editing a screenshot are still almost touching the status bar (way higher than it should be)

I recommend clearing apps from appswitcher and soft reset before updating. Or clear all after and relaunch app

Just went through the release notes for B5. They have cleared so many bugs. This beta might be stable enough with lesser unimportant bugs being squashed at later stages.

This preparing update bug on my Air 2 is driving me crazy. Keeps getting stuck, having to reboot, then it gets stuck again.

Seems just waiting it out works now. Same issue on mini 4 but just let it sit and finally asked to install. Interesting after the "preparing" finally finished, it went to the "checking for updates" then popped up the install button. These OTA updates have been a bit weird in these betas for sure.

GM is usually released the day of the fall iPhone keynote. Probably mid September.

Hm, the done and arrows are correct for me. They are no longer aligned inside the carrier bars, and are easy to hit.
