It's not more bold, it's more stylized. iOS 6 has gradient-itis. those gradients are gone and so is skeuomorphism. Then ick s are a bit more in your face, not ios 6-esque. I don't see any issue with revamping icons; they are not "backtracking".

It’s not really the icons, it’s the boldness in general. They went from thin fonts everywhere to having bold fonts/UI elements everywhere. It’s like they are admitting they made a mistake with making everything thin in iOS 7-9/10, so I do see it as them backtracking. There’s a reason why they kept the same “stale” iOS design for six years. It’s because they already had it perfect.

Settings>General>Accessibility>Home Button set Click Speed to Slow fixed my Home Button/Lock Screen lag on my IP7.

I just jumped in on PB5, and my AT&T visual voicemail was replaced by a "Call Voicemail" box. I sent myself a voicemail from my landline and that fixed it, including restoring voicemails in my "Deleted Messages" folder.

I’ll have to try that approach next time. Thanks for posting!

They kept the same design for six years because it was impossible to get forstall to change it and it was becoming outmoded. Windows has changed since 7, android has changed and now iOS is changing. Change is not backtracking but to each their own definition I guess.

Change is inevitable and is needed, yes, but change for the sake of change isn’t. It’s just funny to me that they have to “change” it back to how it already was in terms of boldness and readability. For example; they updated the UI design from Mac OS X Tiger to Mavericks, but they still kept the basic fonts and UI elements the same because it was already fine and didn’t really need changing. In iOS though, they have to have things like buttons shapes, reduce transparency, reduce motion etc. in the settings to make the OS more bearable to some which they didn’t need to do in prior iOS versions.

I’m not hating, I welcome this change (even though we already had it 4 years ago and much better at that). But why be so adamant on having the UI be thin only to then go back? It tells me that they realised they messed up and shouldn’t have really changed it so much.

Same question as the other betas―does the Control Centre ATV Remote now work with ATV3? Thanks.

Is anyone having issues with the weather widget not updating? I have deleted the widget, restarted the phone, added it again and it doesn't update as it should. I'm in Chicago and it's still showing I'm in the suburbs, but in the weather app location is correct.

dude. They are changing it to the San Francisco font they made after iOS 7 came out. Just making the icon font consistent with the OS font.

I’m having problems with Halifax banking app, I’m running iOS 11 beta 6. I have deleted the app, reinstalled it and I still can’t get past the register your device screen. Anyone else having issues?

I have the iPad version on my 1st gen iPad Pro, that works fine.

"We increased text weights [...] we increased the text weights and made the text overall larger so that the content is easier to read [...] larger and more bold text styles throughout the UI [...] fill in the button shapes and increase the size of the shape itself [...] we updated the tab bars increasing the weight of the label from regular to medium [...] we filled in the shapes and thickened the stroke weights [...] text is slightly larger [...] on iPad, we can increase the text size even more [...]"

Am I the only one having problems with email notifications disappearing?

Whenever my emails and email notifications are cleared and I get new email, the notification shows but disappears when I get a second email or when the emails go to the earlier today section of Notification Center. My first email notification always disappears and it shows one less notification compared to the actual number of emails I have.

Is it me or b6 is bloody smooth and definitely feels more polished than ever.

Probably not just you, but as I stated earlier in this thread this beta is a performance mess on the iPad Pro 10.5. Im getting more stutters than in beta 2, which was subjectively the worst. At least battery life is decent and slightly improved from the last beta.

It definitely can’t keep up the 120 frames currently, so I hope for further optimization. I suppose this isn’t a problem with 60 frame devices.

Anyone else getting this ?
Mine does this when I pick up my phone sometimes. The time disappears from my homescreen when I have notifications on there and it blurs the screen. I can click each notification and it will unblur just that singular notification.

A lot of my apps (including stock) freeze on this update. And when it happens, I also lose the ability to control volume with the volume buttons. Anyone else?

Just updated my iphone 6, much smoother than the previous betas, no ringing lag when answering the phone.

I also have this problem.

I also have the same problem with the weather widget. App works fine but widget no so consistent.

Have been running for the past few days and still having some random issues. Still having respring issues and random freezing. Its a little bit better than b5 but still seeing some of the same issues.
