Running beta on my ipad 10.5. When in landscape mode using the Apple Smart Keyboard, many apps are not automatically rotating to landscape when opened. I have to physically pick up the iPad and rotate to portrait and then rotate back to landscape to get the screen to show in landscape.

I have also been seeing this on my iPad Pro 9.7” with the current build.

I am not sure if this is new but I haven't seen it in this forum. Siri can hear me but I can't hear Siri. I checked all my sounds. I can play music, videos, I hear the keyboard, alerts, just NOT Siri. I am not sure if it is a setting I can't find or not. Any ideas? I just checked and Voice Feedback is "Always On".

It seems to be my iPhone 7 because my iPad 2 is just fine with this beta version.

Ok, another bit of testing. I put my AirPods on and Siri's voice is just fine. Also, when I went into Accessibility -> Speech -> Speaking Rate I can hear her fine. I am getting real confused on this one. Could it be hardware?

Ok, I am doing more tests because I did see that there might be a bug with the new voice. It suggested that I change the voice and then it will download the new one. I did this and when I change the voice it says "I am Siri your virtual assistant" just as expected but when I try to engage Siri - Nothing!

I am not sure what happened but I noticed that when I turned the volume completely up and asked Siri a question I could hear her in the ear piece. So I kept messing with the volume and she is working. I still don't hear the ping for her but I can hear her response now.

Also on WhatsApp the text box goes half way up the page when typing...

Restart fixed it.

dude. They are changing it to the San Francisco font they made after iOS 7 came out. Just making the icon font consistent with the OS font.
They used Helvetica Neue in iOS 7. They changed it to San Francisco in iOS 9. Just saying...

Anyone noticing a glitch where the Safari app icon will randomly dim? Opening and closing Safari always fixes it, but it’s been happening in the last few betas. Not sure what causes it though.

I have 2.2 GB free on my 16GB 6s and I’m still seeing “cleaning” appear on app icons.
Also a lot of my apps were offloaded (both 1st party and 3rd party) suddenly.

Not sure why iOS is just trying to clean device cache all the time.

In the past, a second reboot (after the beta installation is complete) solves a number of issues, especially battery drain.

yes, look now, awesome

Anyone else encounter this bug? Have an existing conversation in messages, maybe only specific to two letter words like “ok”. After turning on bold text and viewing the existing words, the “k” disappeared from the chat bubble but returns when turning bold off. If you copy the “o” and paste it, “ok” appears. This means that the whole word is there but doesn’t show.

I just noticed a setting under settings>general>iphone storage>offload unused apps. Is that on?

sigh...my music app still only "shuffles" albums/playlists...shuffle button doesn't even highlight. (iPhone 7+)

Showtime app still won't show videos.

Apparently that s how ios 11 works now, no more apps like facebook and instagram taking gigs of memory, their cache is always empty.

So...is this one of those things that has been around since iOS1 and I only just noticed it now?

Phone was charging and just hit 100%. Was locked and blank screen. Screen lit up with notification sound showing the 100%.

Performace of B6 is terrible on my 6S. Sometimes up to a 5 second delay from tapping an App icon to the App starting. Email downloading much slower compared to B5, and also delays between a touch and the phone responding.

I’m having this too. Also the apps are lagging as hell and often needs a reboot. Also sometimes after rebooting i can’t use and app and the phone freezes and I have to reboot again. Other times I let the phone sort it out and eventually crashes or shuts down. Seriously I’m hating this beta cycle A LOT, I tested the iOS 7 betas and went from having a hell on beta 1 to enjoying the new system on later betas. This time I’m not. Every beta has been worse except for beta 4.

I don’t know what Apple is doing but this seems awful. It’s less than a moth and this thing 'still ******. Not good.

Planned obsolescence? lol Have you tried force close all apps from the app switcher and soft reset to clear RAM then relaunch apps or reboot device?

Out of curiosity, does that happen after bringing up control center? When dragging that up and touching a dock icon accidentally while doing so, that icon stays dimmed. Doesn’t fix itself unless you launch the app. Ended up sending in a report.

As a matter of fact, yes it always happens after brining up Control Center. Good call.
