Not sure why but I can’t get twitter integration to work since the last beta. Not sure where the accounts settings are but they’re not where they used to be.

First beta I’ve ran fir iOS 11 is beta 7. It’s been a pretty smooth experience. I’m going to fully charge my battery to get a fair judgement on that. Only things I noticed is the phone hit pretty hot while listening to music and using GPS. Also, noticed when I have phone horizontal and use raise to wake and flip it vertically it does change orientation. Only issues I’ve had

Is it just me or has autocorrect gotten a lot worse? Transforming words into something completely different to what I was typing, occasionally switching one word for 3 words. It’s making typing an absolute chore.

I can say it's fairly good. I use it as my work device and it is quite reliable.

Seems to be pretty good actually, surprisingly so. My biggest issue with the phone was actually swiping between pages of apps on the home screen. That was largely remedied with Beta 6 and Beta 7. Control center is smooth, notification center is smooth (although there are minor hiccups going from widgets to notifications, and vice versa, and things seem to function well. It operates a little bit slower than an iPhone 7, but that's to be expected.

Battery has also been a surprise. Pretty solid in active usage, and standby battery is fantastic. I think this will be a solid overall release for the 5S, glad to see it still has some life in it. However, I cannot speak to Messages performance or deeper iCloud features, as it is just my testing device.

I have had the previous and this beta on my iPhone 6 and must say that I probably won't upgrade from 10 if performance will be like this.

It's not that it doesn't feel fluid anymore (animation, responsiveness wise), but the app reloads compared to previous iOS versions are ridiculous:
  • Music app cannot remember what song was playing in what playlist: already "forgets" after opening a couple of other (not intensive) apps like Health, Mail or Weather. iOS does not remember the song position anymore after a while, but does keep track of what was playing.
  • Health app, pictures app, Outlook: all same thing - they all have to reload after rather short times compared to before.
And this is what does make it feel slow down: if all apps have to reload this often and do not keep the info in memory, experience is slow.

I know that the 5s and 6 only have 1 GB of RAM, but does iOS 11 really have that many new things that RAM management has become such a problem?

On my iPad 2017 occurence is far less, so I would blame the RAM. However on my iPhone, I do see the app cleaning process running a lot more than on my iPad (16 GB phone vs 32 GB iPad). Could that be the reason for the frequent reloads. I'm under the impression that the "auto-cleaning" feature in iOS 11 occurs far more quickly than in previous iOS versions.

I deleted Accuweather but the widget still shows in the list but with a message saying unable to retrieve data.
Beta 7 - Iphone 7
Submitted bug report.

They actually removed baked-in Twitter and Facebook integration from iOS in iOS 11. You’ll still see extensions in the share sheet as always, but you won’t see the Settings anymore as accounts have been dropped.

I was under the impression this was removed and returned to pre- iOS 11 behaviour but I may be wrong.

I vaguely remember reading about that in earlier betas, but it’s definitely back now. Google Maps doesn’t show the bar when set to “Always Allow” but does when “While Using”

As far as I can tell, there's still no way to manually tag partially obscured people in the Photos app.

Face recognition is a cluster**** in iOS 11. It’s not identifying obvious faces, not recognizing faces it does tag, and they aren’t syncing across devices like they’re supposed to. I think it’s actually been getting worse through the betas

is anybody's battery percentage indicator f'd up? mine shows 100% *all* the time and then the phone will die (and when i plug it in it shows the empty battery with a red line on the bottom of it)? It is not just the stock indicator. If i look at batterylife.app the indicator shows capacity and battery charge @1751 mA (100%) . I have a refurb ip6 about 6 months old. any idea on how to fix or do i wait it out till monday when b8 pops up.

i have restarted-- many times
i have hard reset-- many times

i have not reset all settings or network settings-- hoping for a less drastic solution

where exactly did you buy this iPhone from? apple or some other third party?

My Notification Center constantly blanks out, for lack of a better phrase.

It seems to be happening much more on the latest PB than before. I cannot figure out what is causing it. Or how to fix it other than turning the phone off and on.

Anyone had this issue?

EDIT: when this occurs, not only are notifications failing to show up (despite hearing them arrive), even the clock is gone. Everything is gone.

Not sure if this is new or been mentioned in the thread. But it now shows the battery level when looking up the Bluetooth devices list when playing music.

This is from my Spotify but does the same with the Music App.

The Today view of the new App Store updated today and shows new curated content. Seems they are moving to updating this daily instead of every Thursday.

Have you logged bug report.
I have done it.

I have noticed this as well. I tried deleting the autocorrect memory and that has not fixed it either. Its been pretty annoying.

I tried out Reduce Motion for the first time since Beta 2, and the entire time I had it on (about 4 hours), my phone became noticeably warm and battery drain increased.

This occurred even during idle and wouldn’t cool down until about a minute after turning Reduce Motion off.

I tried both a restart and hard reset before I turned the setting off, but no change.

Anyone else have issues where their Reduce Motion? My understanding is that Reduce Motion should be less intensive on the GPU.

Anyone else seeing annoying animation stutters here and there? We're pretty late in the beta process for there to be performance problems still.

I'm testing on a 2017 iPad, and was briefly testing on an iPad Pro (9.7") that work issued me before reverting it to iOS 10.

I remember how long it took Apple to finally rid iOS 10 of this, and now it's back. Will we have to wait until 11.3 in order to have a smooth iOS experience again?

I'm going to really be on the fence about upgrading my main devices to iOS 11.

It’s not meant to be any more. The lock screen and Notification Center have been merged.
but i saw it on YouTube it´s actually transparent (blurry) and not opaque. when you swipe down from statusbar is it transparent or not?
and battery life on 7+ is really bad :/

Do you have Reduce Transparency turned on?

I suspect reset all settings is in order. Its not really that big a deal to do. Not like a restore . It just defaults all settings, wifi networks and wall paper. Oh yeah and Apple Pay cards and finger prints. Ha list getting bigger these days. I did it a week or so ago because its been through all 10.3.3 and 11 betas. Didn't take but a few minutes to get it back set up. That's a weird issue though.
