iOS 11 Developer beta 9 — Changes, Issues, and so on

music controls do not work with 3rd party apps like Spotify for me. The control center music widget shows nothing playing and the music widget on the lock screen shows Apple Music as non playing instead of spotify
For me the latest PB on my iPhone 7 Plus seems to be a regression regarding battery life and Safari usage. My phone gets really hot when browsing and eats the battery more than the previous PB. The iOS itself is relatively stable and no showstopper bugs for me.
Try a reset settings. Cleared up whatever was going on. I just got 8 hours of use on my 7 plus with the latest beta, 1 hour of which was HBO streaming over cellular with my Airpods, the rest a mix of WiFi and cellular safari and twitter usage with some iMessage
It’s a public beta as well. Go to https://beta.apple.com and sign up for the beta. Then download the profile and you will get.
I know this is not specific to this beta but...New filters are available in iOS11. Fade filter was available in iOS10 and could have been easily applied in a wide range of situations. None of the new filters provide a similar result, even the dramatic filter (the closest to the fade filter). And now the fade filter is gone...

I did a reset all settings. Immediately noticed faster animations. Now hoping for better battery life but reported it anyway. It’s just a pain setting everything up again. Takes awhile lol
lol that’s why I do a restore from iCloud too following the reset. Let us know when the animations start slowing and dropping frames again.
I downloaded and installed it from iTunes via ipsw file. Now i'll tested battery life on 5S and i'll share photo
My battery life was better on the last beta. After updating Thursday, it’s went all to hell.
Well like he said. Stuck app. I’ve personally seen battery life similar to previous beta. Maybe a little worse but not terrible.
Whenever you see usage matching stand by. Expect bad battery life.
So I recommend fixing that first.
Is anyone getting an error on iTunes it could not connect with apple update server? or is it just me?
How do you know what version of the beta you have? I just got on it today with my mini 2 and things seem really good so far.
I have 33% battery left. On the last beta, I was on my phone nearly all day/night. My battery would be down to this, but not after only 4 hours of usage.
I have a 6s Plus. Mine charges just as fast as usual, but is dying a lot faster than it did on the last beta.

I have faith in them, especially, since the last beta had much better battery life. Hopefully, the next beta will fix the battery issues.
Does it help to reset the phone from scratch and use iCloud backup (battery life)?
If it’s not in the beta version causing it or your iCloud backup being corrupted then yes. I’m personally going to wait until the next beta before I try all of that though.
Yes but I recommend waiting until GM. I’ve noticed some bugs being cleared after a reset.
