Damn, that control center redesign is hideous! And by the keynote there's nothing really interesting for a big version, looks more like a 10.X update. Let's wait for the beta testers for more...
And it appears that the connection carrier bars are back (instead of the dots introduced on iOS 7), anyone noticed?
My guess is the bars take less space which if the leaks are correct iPhone 8's top bar will be smaller.

I think the multitasking features for iPad, bring iOS a step closer to a desktop quality experience, for mobile. I'm very excited to give it a whirl.

A new redesign wasn't really a rumor but I really think we need one REALLY BAD. Is what I was looking for with iOS 11.
Why? Are you bored?

Granted, Apple still has a ways to go with refinement and bug fixes. However, I appreciate that they continue to move forward in a more professional manner than the competition.

At first glance iOS 11 control center looks confusing/un-intuitive and like the antithesis of 10's. Take up as little space as possible on one pane while 10 takes up lots of space on multiple. I preferred iOS 7-9's.

Enjoy your Android fragmentation, where the same thing happens. Expecting a company to do what you want them to do all the time is a recipe for disappointment.

Why not build your own OS.? That way, you will only be mad at yourself.

Where did I say I wanted Apple to do what I wanted all the time?

I was expecting/hoping for night mode, customisable control centre, and grouped notifications. People have been asking for these for 2 years and Apple have responded with a huge F.U.

I'm gone.

Oh Apple. Control center looks awful, no picture in picture on iPhone, no group FaceTime.

They better at least get rid of that annoying volume animation and the phone call that takes up the entire screen.

Oh and people need to get over dark mode, that's a jailbreak exclusive ;)

Im usually one to bash the whiners but I was watching it going, is that it? Not necessarily expectinng like dark mode etc.

But I was REALLY hoping to refinements to the core apps especially calendar and mail especially considering 3rd party options trounce them.

Control Center is customizable! From Apple website:

Control Center.
Make it your own.

iOS 11 lets you customize the redesigned Control Center so you can change the settings for the things you do most. Want to be ready when inspiration hits? Add a Voice Memos control. Want to dim the lights in the dining room with a tap? Add Home controls. Or use 3D Touch in Control Center to unlock even more commands.

Ok that's good. But the question remains: why not brag about it during the keynote? The world is watching and they say nothing. Woeful.

Where did it day that?

I actually like that a lot isn't being changed.

iOS is pretty mature at this point and there's not really much you can improve. I remember what a cluster**** iOS 7 was with the interface shift; it took a while for the system to become fast and stable again. I'd hate to see a repeat of that.
I think redesigns in form and functionality once we reach new breakthroughs in technology. Form meets Functionality.

Kinda boring

Hopefully that file and screenshot crop mark thingy also available for iphone and ipad air 1 , which is not a new thing -_-

Some tweak on interface, app store, some compressed picture file, etc

Anyone can tell me title of the songs when :
1. Opening event (the male singer)
2. Ipad pro ads
3. Homepod ads ?

Thx

First I agree what was presented was disappointing for the phone. Second we need to see what people are actually seeing in the Beta's - I'm sure there was more not presented or ready yet. Third when the new phones are announced there maybe a lot more functions that they don't want to demonstrate yet.
And yes I expect by late today we'll get comments about battery drain and slow scrolling
