Mmh, that’s interesting. Our test handsets were shipped with iOS 11.1. Beta 1. But that said nothing. I could see, that this is iOS 11.1 is a forced update like.

In the meantime I’m hearing security issues over Apple Pay Cash which might be delayed until iOS 11.2...

I figure that and iMessage in iCloud will be delayed until 11.2 or even 11.3. This is about a lot of security and shouldn’t be rushed

Thats disappointing. But I suppose better safe than sorry.

The problem is taking over the responsibility in case of wrong payments. Apple only offers the platforms (iOS, macOS, watchOS). The transaction are done by the issuer of the Apple Pay Cash card. So you have at least two parties involved in a transaction.

I also guess Apple wants to roll it out in more countries than the US. The trademarks are filed in Canada and Europe. Both repealing times are due in December. In the mean time you can add several countries to launch Apple Pay (hearing that Europe will see at least a handful of countries coming this year). That means you have at least two more launch dates (as Apple can only launch three to four countries per launch) in Europe...

I don’t think I’m alone in saying I’d appreciate a little inside knowledge on Apple Pay cash and messages in iCloud.. if available..

Nothing but he said 11.1 is coming as day one update for the X. I thought he means 11.1 coming on the release day of the X
Oh. Okay. Day 1 usually means its available for the device the day it launches. So it launching today, tomorrow, Thursday or Friday would be considered a day one update. I'm assuming we are still getting it today though.

I simply like what you`ve just wrote. Another hint, even if I will not be able to use Apple Pay this year.

If it doesn’t come out today then Apple would be late. They did say Apple Music for watchOS would be released by the end of the month.

That’s today.

In future they should really hold off adverising for features that aren’t already in alpha testing and that includes make ads for them as well

I really hope today
Are you running iOS 11.1B5? Its likely to be the exact same build.

I'm pretty sure it will launch today. Apple has yet to give a time frame and miss it when it comes to software.

In regards to Apple Pay Cash and iMessage. They said iOS 11, not iOS 11.0/.1/.2

Ya I agree. Should be in the next 1 or 2 hours

Apple Pay cash doesn’t matter to me since I’m not in the US but iMessage in the cloud I was looking forward too

Thought we’d see it in 11.2 beta

I actually think there might be a beta 6 which fixes the calculator issue

I doubt they would think it ok to make people
Wait another 4-6 weeks for 11.2 just to have a working calculator
