Because that is just generic language. Its probably used for every single update.

More so recently, but the language has definitely been different in all kinds of releases before. But, yes, sounds like they might have overlooked the generic language that they typically include these days. (Unless it still rolls out for all iOS devices.)

Perhaps they scrapped that plan and went with what they were planning yesterday (when it was just for iPhone X), which got delayed for some reason? (Unless it's just taking time to roll out for all iOS devices.)

Just showed up via OTA on my 7. Sounds like it was just taking time to roll out.

I wonder what's changed for non-iPhone X devices, given that nothing in particular aside from a few iPhone X changes were called out (and the build number supposedly went up by over 50).

Actually, I don’t see it anywhere for the 8+ GSM model. Just the 8+ global (CDMA) seems to have it.
