Yeah. Couldn’t find one. It’s definitely difficult to search for releases on a specific date.
I've always been surprised how hard it is to find release dates. Its not like they're a secret. The internet does so well cataloging pretty much everything else under the sun, I'm not sure why this one is so difficult. Heck, we could figure it out for most of the last 3 years by finding these beta discussion posts and seeing what day they were started.

There is an Wikipedia for iOS releases but its pretty much release versions not beta. Other than the current beta is usually listed. Nice way to see build #'s and dates tho.

You gave away my cheat sheet for when I try to figure out how many releases came with a beta letter!! ;):p

Yeah it’s crazy how difficult it is to track down betas.

I only encounter problems when I upgrade an iPhone to any newer OS. My iPhone 6 was perfect on iOS 8. My iPhone 7 Plus was perfect on iOS 10. It's why I decided not to upgrade my devices and just buy a newer one every year instead. Once I get the X, I am sure it will run splendid on iOS 11 but I won't upgrade it to 12.

My iPad stays on iOS 10 till I get the 2019 iPad.

You know the saying...fool me once shame on you...etc.

Yeah in my case Apple isn't gonna fool me thrice. My X stays on 11 till I get the X Plus.

My iPad Pro is the 2017 model so Apple should have optimised iOS 11 perfectly for it as it's their current flagship but I just don't want to take the risk.

This “beta” software is also released to millions of public users. It would be one thing if it was DP only. It is not.
released for beta testing, for discovering bugs in order to help apple developer team to fix them.

when you use beta software you accept that situations like this are possible

According to a german website the TV App from Apple is going to be released at 4th December here in germany. When this is true, iOS 11.2 is coming on this date

A bug is one thing, your phone app not working is on a different planet. Thats a catastrophic "bug".

I find it hard to believe that a German website "would know".

In the developer language this is showstopper. Normally such version should never have been publicly released. It is obvious, that Apple currently has a major quality issue...
iOS 11 itself is a quality issue. I still don't get that "light on its feet" feeling when I use iOS 11 on my iPhone 7 Plus. On the other hand my iPad PRO ON Ios 10 just feels blazing fast and the battery life is awesome.

I understand that iOS is clearly a complex system. But there are so many basic flaws (not security issue). Look how long it takes to fix the calculator bug. There was a huge Apple Pay issue (especially here in Canada) with the device account number.

And I don’t include things like Apple Pay Cash or iMessage in the cloud which are delayed or might not even heading to iOS. My problem is the clear communication to the customer. Apple hypes iOS every year and year after year it seems more and more the case that the os is not ready until mid-release cycle of the iPhones...

I disagree. I've played with ios 11 on iphone 8, 7, 6s, 6s+, 7+ and 8+ and ipad pro. On the 8/8+/ipad pro its buttery smooth. On the remainder of the devices, it works very well, but I don't get that creamery smooth as butter feeling; which not even versions starting at ios 7. ios 6 may have been smooth as butter, but I remember a bunch of issues with it on my idevices.

This has been going on for at least 6 or 7 years.

I think its because of the fact that there are so many iOS variants this year. We have one for the iPad Pro. Another for the iPhone X. And yet another for the Plus variant. Clearly difficult to track all the bugs.

There was a time when Russian Siri "knew" about an upcoming release. ;)

we have to consider how often the problem appears.

maybe we don’t remember what was iOS7 when was released, on 4S was a nightmare.

this is the reason for the existence of public beta testing, in the past only developers had access to beta software and the installation was recommended only for new api testing, now all the guys are excited to try preview software and apple is happy to save money for internal testing.

Well, the core is basically the same for all devices. The main problem here is that Apple overloads new iOS versions with too many features at once. It is time for a couple of years of polishing the OS like it is happening for macOS the last couple of years.

Apple has the huge advantage with iOS to optimize is it for their devices. Android is such a fragmented market that it is hard to make it completely compatible. I’m willing to spend more money for an iOS device as I know I can use my device up to five of support time. And that’s the main different to Android devices...

this is the reason for the existence of public beta testing, in the past only developers had access to beta software and the installation was recommended only for new api testing, now all the guys are excited to try preview software and apple is happy to save money for internal testing.

You shall not save money for internal testing. Internal testing is more important than developer testing. In general the developer shall use the betas to test their apps in the first place to get them ready for the public release.

And how much percent of the public beta users open the Apple Feedback at least once? My guess would be below 5%. And from those 5% a max of 10% might send beta feedback to Apple. That’s 0,5% of public beta testers who helps Apple to improve iOS...
