Yeah. Okay sure. Only person I listen to is @Madscotsman and there is zero indication of another beta.

If your “friend” worked at Apple. You would not have asked about beta 5.
Perhaps 2 now? :)

Feedback app is still present on mine.
[doublepost=1512157390][/doublepost]Why do I still have the feedback app if this is a final release?

I think that was the consensus last time too. Those on DP didn’t have the feedback app, but PB did. I think the app is tied to the PB profile, but the app is part of the build for DP. Idk, just guessing but seems to make sense.

That’s exactly why I wanna test it. I’m almost positive (based on the testimony of others) that if you are on DP the app is tied to the build and not the profile.
Correct, the FB app is part of the DP and is removed when GM is installed. But for PB its tied to the profile and if the profile is deleted it goes away. No idea why they do it that way but it seems to be the case for a while now.

If you can access the phone app only by using a workaround prior calling than it is a severe bug.
Not exactly how it was. It seemed to happen just after install and the work around would fix it. In B3 and B4 mine never came back after the initial instance was fixes. Never happened at all for me in b5. Seems to be related to VVM. When that was not populated is when it was hanging and freezing. Either when it finally populated or gave up asking you to call VM is when phone app would start working again. Anyway hopefully its resolved now. Installing b6 now so will see soon.

[Edit] No issue this time either and all VVM is loaded. Phone app is as responsive as ever. Good sign at least!

This is technically the GM. And no it was not fixed...I had that issue five minutes ago with that build...

Perhaps something corrupted left over from some previous beta?
That's what I am wondering. Reason being on b3 when this first appeared, none of the workarounds worked for me. I had to 'reset all settings' to fix it. Since then no issue other than the initial install of b4 and then the quick AP mode toggle solved it just after install. Never had the issue again even for the remainder of b4 testing. So possibly the RSA fixed the root cause of it. @sunny2k1 if you still have the issue may want to try that and see if it fixes it once and for all.

This is the GM? Base on what evidence did you come to the conclusion that the current build of 11.2 is the GM Build?

Accessing the phone app resulted in a crashing phone app. Moved back to clean iOS 11.1.2 with an iOS 11.1.2 backup, now everything is fine...

The build number indicates that this is not a beta build.
Did you’re the only person with this issue. I am on beta 6 upgraded from 11.1.2 with no issue

Can you elaborate on how exactly you know it’s a GM build? Are you implying that the final version of 11.2 is going to come out next week?(since the current beta version is the GM build)

The first indication is that the update via OTA was the complete ipsw-file (around 2 GB) and not a delta update (40+MB). Secondly the build number does not contain a 5 on position 4 of the build and the build does not end on a letter).

The release is close - probably some time next week.
