iPhone 8 could be a potential dark mode with OLED display.

I will be so p****d if they device-locked dark mode like the stingy snakes they are. Although I would never put that kind of behaviour past Apple, too many people have been asking for dark mode for too long for them to kick us all in the b***s. But then, your beloved Apple are no strangers to screwing over customers.

wow, you sound just a wee bit too wound up on this. Why on earth are you a) on this site and b) an iPhone owner if you're that ticked off?

Plus, this is an iOS Beta speculation thread...let's move this to another thread

I’ll start believing this “reddit guy” has insider information when he makes a correct prediction of a date that is outside of the normal every other Monday schedule. If I’m remembering correctly, the date he predicted for the final iOS 10 release was incorrect.

I’m still betting on the next beta for Monday though, as it fits the typical schedule.

I don't think he ever gave an actually date for 10.3.3, he said around 7/17th.

He correctly called Beta 2 dropping on June 21, which was a Wednesday. He even stuck to his claim after 10am PST which is the time at which the betas usually drop. It ultimately dropped at 1pm PST.

He picked the Wednesday release date 9 days prior. Thats definitely not following schedule.

Maybe after beta 5 we can get a beta for each week?
Its going to go one of two ways. Beta 5 -> Beta 6 = 2 weeks and Beta 6 will be the final build until event. Or Beta 5-Beta 6 -> Beta 7, one week builds. Beta 7 the last until the event.

I have seen that Apple is responding to bug reports almost on a daily basis these days. Perhaps the thrust is to iron out kinks.
I also feel if 6 is the final then the actual stable build will be 11.1 as it does not appear feasible for them to resolve so many bugs so quickly.

Just looking at the calendar, they could still happily come up with 4-5 betas between now and the final release in September.

Nope. Apple will have a 2-3 week gap between the final beta and the GM at the event. This is because the GM must be done for the production of the new iPhone that usually begins in early August. Look at the ThinkBit calendar. The last beta is sometimes up to 45 days.

Jut like every year. The most amount of fixes will come between the final beta and the GM because it's usually the longest gap. But like always, we will probably see a 11.0.1 with 2 weeks of iOS 11 coming out.

I only wish that the "most fixes" we expect to be implemented, include the bugs reported as late as today and not the bugs reported in June.

But this pretty much means that they already have an in-house GM now and everything being reported from now on will not make it to the first official release?
