iOS 11.x.x Release Speculation Thread

The last one was iOS 10 beta 5 released on August 9th 2016.

But the Reddit guy seems to have a pretty good idea so.. today I'm guessing as well.

Edit: Oops there was a beta 6. Seems even more likely then.

Well actually I found a pic of iOS 10 beta 6 released on August 15th (size 81MB) in my camera roll. I don't make a habit of saving these things, but I guess I wanted to show a friend the beta was out, and I'm terrible in cleaning up my photos ;)

You're right there was a beta 6, I missed it in my search somehow, sorry about that.

The beta really does seem likely to happen today.

It’s funny because you won’t have that problem with screenshots in iOS 11. ;)

But the Reddit guy said it was happening today and he hasn’t been wrong yet.

lets all be honest for a sec, it doesn't matter then iOS 10 came out last year, apple will drop it when its ready nothing is exact pattern even if they have been coming out Monday of 2 weeks but will just have to see could be anytime no one knows apart from apple

If the event is Sept 6th, I think we will only get one more beta being beta 6th on Aug 21st.
If the event is Sept 12th, then we will probably get beta 6 on Aug 21 and beta 7 on Aug 28.

I am guessing another beta on the 14th with Apple moving to 1 week now. And if a beta 7 is seeded then the 8/21 date.

I expect them to ramp ut the releases, they normally do so when we get close to GM. iOS 11 BETA's have been rather rough thus far so they sure need to put their engines in high gear in order to hit their schedule.

Personally it started to get better with BETA4, the first three was really rough with a lot of things not working. BETA4 and BETA5 have been okay but they feel far from finished and the time is starting to run out.

Last year they ramped it up, beta 6 on the 15th, beta 7 on the 19th and beta 8 on the 27th

People care about Apple wallpapers because they like them. It’s not that hard of a concept to grasp.

iPhone becoming unresponsive after generating any notification- be it for messages, or mail.
Even power button does not restart the phone. You have to do a hard reset to restart the phone (power + both volume buttons).

Had the same issues. Weird one since beta 5. Did not investigate further // 7+

But that’s not the correct forum for reporting those....
 
PLEASE release PB same day!!! We're surely late enough in the beta for that. I'm not demanding same time, just same day!!

You are seriously such a downer man...why bother to post on here? You strike me as a very unhappy person.

Apple is working on the polish hence the beta updates, if you don't like it, don't use the beta

Beta 5 is extremely rough. I am getting call drops, no sound on first or second call. I am also getting orientation bugs. Most people seem to be having more problems on iPhone 7 Plus model.
Air 2 on the other hand seems to be much better.
