If you 3D Touch or long press the brightness control in the control center it will reveal more options, including Night Shift.
OMG! That’s awesome! Thank you for that!!

You can't add night shift mode? Is it bugged? Not a single issue so far! iPhone 6+ Plus and 2017 iPad 9.7.
No delays, no glitches, nada.
I am missing night shift mode button from control panel and i can’t add it in the settings.
Message app now has a new bar at the bottom when typing messages. That’s interesting.
Faster scrolling in safari now.
I do miss the bubbles for cell signal, now it shows the bars. But what ever.
I can now text from my iPad! That’s very cool!
good to hear on ipad pro!

I agree with ios 6.
Doesn't really mean that it can't be implemented through a gesture or something other than a home button.
Congrad on ip8 plus.Installed iOS 11 on my 6 Plus today. (Waiting for 8 Plus to be delivered on Friday.)
Maybe it’s because iOS 11 is stretching the capabilities of the 6 Plus, but waking to the hoe screen by TouchID takes forever. It was almost instant with iOS 10. Maybe Apple really is trying to kill off TouchID to benefit FaceID.
Do you think ios 11 makes sense to you in a sense of function? Does lof of these functions work because it makes sense?Very true, but with Apple placing control center in the top right hand corner of the iPhone X screen, it doesn’t look like it’s much of much importance to them at the moment.

Iphone 6 plus here as well. Thanks for info!6 plus checking in here. New control center is nice. Finally have variable controls for flashlight, and some other icons. After a little settle in time, I powered down my iPhone and turned back on. There is some lag occasionally, but the phone seems faster. No problems with any installed apps. Most seem to open faster. In my opinion, iOS 11 is a keeper.
1 gen is slow?Running less great on the previous iPad Pro, even after several days to "index." It's not massive but just enough to remind you that hey, there's newer hardware available.

It's actually there in iOS 10 as well (at least for 3D Touch devices).Dude! Flashlight control. I’m so glad you told me, that’s a great new feature.
Just a little slower / more stutters here and there.1 gen is slow?
Thabks for heads up!Just a little slower / more stutters here and there.
I'm also a rare person who doesn't even like the iPad multitasking "enhancements."
Torn on going back to 10.3.3 because procreate, my favourite iPad app, tends to make new features I do like that require the lastest ios. But I think their next release isn't for a bit so maybe I can hold off to 11.1 or so. iPhone 7 is staying on 10.3.3.
Mail got slower a bit, huh?iPhone 6, upgraded directly from 9.3.5 on Sunday. So some things that are "new" to me may have actually been in 10.
Good:
- Mail - new thread view is a nice improvement. However, messages always take 1-5 seconds to load, whereas it was pretty much instant in iOS 9 (this is for messages that have already been downloaded). I like that the Load All Images link is now at the top, much better than scrolling all the way to the bottom.
- Control Center - love the customization. Finally, I can open Clock.app to the alarm page, which is all I ever use! Wish there were a few more toggles available - Location Services enable/disable, others. But this is mostly what I've been asking for since CC was introduced.
- Maps - haven't really used it, but was pleasantly surprised to see that it automatically saved my car's parked location. Could be useful one day.
- Screenshot Editor - nice addition. Was about to say I wish it had a crop tool - but what do you know, it does. Nice!
Bad:
- Animations, once they run, are smoother. But often there's an extra delay before starting them.
- HUGE FONTS in headings taking up way too much precious screen real estate.
- Apps are definitely a bit slower to launch than on iOS 9. The perils of having a device that's 3 generations old.
- It's still a bit early to say if battery life is worse, but it does seem to drain faster. Doesn't help that the battery is over 2.5 years old.
- Messages - can't disable stupid "apps". I know this is a carryover from iOS 10. I deleted/hid all of them, but the button is still there.
Plenty of stuff I haven't gotten to trying yet, but it's been mostly pleasant and smooth so far. I haven't bothered with Music because it's been bad since iOS 9. I've read that 10/11 made it worse, so forget that. Using 3rd party players instead.
- Bugs/issues encountered so far:
- Got stuck on lock screen once - nothing would actually unlock the phone. Had to restart. Can't reproduce.
- Share button from the screenshot editor goes to Preparing... and never completes.
- Some of my mail servers use self-signed certificates that need to be explicitly trusted. When setting up a new server, you're given a dialog with a button to Trust the certificate, no issue. BUT after resetting network settings, you get a slightly different dialog with no option to Trust the server certificate. Why the difference? Will report bug later.
- Related, when adding a new Mail account (had to delete/re-add due to the above), it said I had already added the account to Mail when I really hadn't! I had to add it with a wrong username to get it to go through, then edit after the fact.
- After the upgrade, my iMessage was not using my Apple ID, so messages weren't going to my Macs. After signing back into the Apple ID for iMessage, I had a heck of a time turning text message forwarding back on. Multiple resets and reboots of all machines involved (triggered above Mail certificate trust bug).
Overall, though, I'm quite happy with my decision to jump ahead after avoiding iOS 10 altogether.
I’ve only been using iOS devices for 4 month. So I didn’t know it was there in iOS 10.It's actually there in iOS 10 as well (at least for 3D Touch devices).
Welcome to ios world.I’ve only been using iOS devices for 4 month. So I didn’t know it was there in iOS 10.
The new keyboard is interesting on an iPad. Very cool.
The large fonts are a tad “bold”, but not big.
Welcome to ios world.
Not in my experience. My 1st gen 12.9 Pro feels more fluid and responsive on 11 than it did on 10.... but I don't doubt that it will be worse for others. I'm usually on THAT end of the upgrade experience.1 gen is slow?
There are different volumes controlling different things in iOS--volume of the ringer/notifications, media volume, Siri volume, etc.I found 2 bugs.
First bug.
If I set volume to mute via volume buttons, the iPhone still makes sound when I get txt messages. Had to use the mute click button on the side of the phone.
Second bug.
The message app on the iPad, does not retrieve all the txt messages going back a month, but they are there on iPhone.
I also didn’t get a new txt on message app on iPad from few min ago.
Ipad is tethered to iPhone for internet.
