Still running into the keyboard bug after swiping up to unlock, but other than that this seems like a pretty stable beta. Cellular much better than previous .1 betas (LTE, AT&T).

Which is odd, as, aside from the screen size, it has the same internals as the Xs. But it is pushing more pixels, as they say, so perhaps that's part of the equation.
Yep and the XR is similar too other than the display and the 2x2 antenna design. (as far as connectivity, and lag and speed etc) And it seems to not have the reported issues the XS and XSM seem to have. If you remember the 6 Plus always had the most issues like that too (vs the 6) so probably related to your theory.

anybody having issue with the Pacer App crashing the OS on this one? the "Last Build Crashed everytime when I was out walking in the middle of it. lol

This is the bug I was speaking of - dock apps won't respond to touch gestures until 1000ms have passed. This only happens if you fast navigate (i.e. swipe up to return to home) from a non-home screen.

Hadn't timed it but that sounds close.

Anybody ever usually run these betas on their iPads? Just running the stock 12.1 on mine and seems fine so far but always run the beta on my phone

Usually use my iPad for that. My iPhone is a work device and we are not allowed to run betas on it.

Anyone else not receiving any notifications for email through the iOS mail app? I get them on my watch but zilch, nada, nowt on my X Max. I’ve restarted, disabled and re-enabled but to no avail. Ta.

Had an issue earlier today while I was at work trying to check a price for a customer. I unlocked my phone and immediately opened the Target app. My iPhone 10 then displayed a black screen. I figured I’d wait for it to respiring and reboot back up, but this was not the result. I had to manually hold the power button to power it back on.

I wonder if this has something to do with 3rd party apps.

I’m currently running 12.1.1 beta 3 on my iPhone.

Reported it to Apple.

So far so good for me. Battery seems fine over the last 24hrs and no glitches so far.
Since putting Beta 3 on my IPP, I am seeing it is very slow to charge once it hits 90%. Or at least the indicator is slow to change.
Same charger, same cable I have been using.

UPDATE: Using a 24W charger, it is taking just over an hour to charge the final 10%. Prior to this latest beta, it took a good bit less than half that.

Had similar issue yesterday. The phone just unlocked and froze, went black screen and came back up. I also reported to Apple.

I put 12.1.1 b3 on my iPad Air 2 last night, to try it out. Now I also have it on my XS. For the first time I can remember, my XS now seems to achieve better DL speeds than my older iPad, head-to-head. UL speeds are about the same. But the iPad seems to have a lower ping on the speed tests. I am one of those who has had persistent LTE problems, since purchasing my XS a month ago.

Are the cellular antennas on iPhones stronger than iPads? I would hope so, but must admit ignorance on this.

I’m getting badges, but nothing else.

Thanks and yes, my mistake, I get the badges too.

One thing I’ve just noticed is, my phone went to DND as scheduled earlier and when I looked at my phone there was an email notification. Going to see how it goes and whether it’s dependent on DND status then report it to Apple.

Looks like from post #1 there are no new features/changes, no new issues and no resolved issues. Interesting beta I suppose. (or not very interesting I guess I should say) :)

So all-in-all how is 12.1.1 b3 comparing to the 12.1 release at this point?

I am happy so far. Stable, fluid, no nonsense for my limited use case of some calling, some browsing, some gaming. A couple app hangs and crashes, but I do not trust them to be cutting edge when it comes to implementing technologies, so that might be the case. No crashes or abnormalities with the regularly updated ones who stay on track with the latest developments in iOS technologies.

Happily beta-d.

Been having a few issues the past few hours. App closing (ie just swiping up on my Max) seems to be sluggish. Not always but fairly frequently. Also getting hangs when typing in iMessage and WhatsApp.

Battery life though is quite good. Although I didn’t use the phone much yesterday. Still on 50% battery. A lot of the drain is because I’m on 4G/LTE and the signal fluctuates from 1-3 bars

Anyone on 12.1.1 running the new messenger (new design and all)? I’m on 12.1.1 Beta 3 8 plus and I still haven’t got it

What new messenger? Faceache messenger? If so I think it’s a phased roll out and you just have to wait. My app was updated 2days ago and isn’t any different that I can see.
