iOS 12.1.1 Beta 3 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Anyone having wifi connectivity issues on the new (third-generation) iPad Pro with this beta? I’m getting pretty regular disconnections from wifi here on my 11” Pro and I need to know whether it’s just the beta or whether it’s the device itself so that I can return/exchange it if necessary.

I don’t recall having any issues with 12.1 the short time it was installed; it seemed stable (at least stable enough to set up iCloud services and to download the full (2+GB) 12.1.1 beta 3 update. Thus I’m thinking — and hoping — that the issue is with the software and not with the device itself.

Another weird bug I’m noticing with this beta on the iPad is the simultaneous presence of both a lanscape and a portrait home bar at seemingly random times.

One thing I’ve just noticed is, my phone went to DND as scheduled earlier and when I looked at my phone there was an email notification. Going to see how it goes and whether it’s dependent on DND status then report it to Apple.

I’ve noticed that I’m actually getting them now too? I wonder if there was maybe something server side?

I had the redesign for a few hours then it reverted back.

Yes I wondered that too. It does seem strange to me that notifications are server-side enabled… But this is Apple after all

After 24 hours, can anyone give any info regarding battery life?

Battery life Sucks. Reverting back you an older build that worked. Went to be wo 100% was drained down to 0 in the morning

So the issue I got with XS MAX and it started this with beta 2 is slot of my website don’t load like I got no internet and I hVe to refresh them and than they load like my DNS don’t work! Anyone seeing this?

I think you may have some sort of issue besides the beta. Rogue app, perhaps?

I’m sorry – I don’t think I totally understand, but it seems you’re having a similar issue on your iPhone, right? Did you try downgrading back to iOS 12.1? I’m currently downloading the 12.1 IPSW and will update with my results after the downgrade.

I THINK the bug where the iMessage app sort orders gets reset is fixed. I’m the one that added it to our list, and it hasn’t happened yet since updating. It usually would have happened by now, but I can’t really say for sure as there is no way to test it besides waiting around.

Update: not fixed.

the issue is on my Iphone XS max , the websites time out for no reason on my WIFI and then when u refresh them they start to work again,I started to notice this wigth Beta 2 where i had to refresh my websited in order for them to load.. no idea whats causing that and it's gotta be since beta 2 release, cause i dont remeber having this issue at all being on Beta1! but idk what ever is clever, im sure they will fix it

Hmm.... I’m still getting disconnections from the internet on 12.1 public, but not from my mobile hotspot, which is odd. So it appears to be an issue with my home router which can’t easily be replaced for several reasons.

Been having a few issues the past few hours. App closing (ie just swiping up on my Max) seems to be sluggish. Not always but fairly frequently. Also getting hangs when typing in iMessage and WhatsApp.

Battery life though is quite good. Although I didn’t use the phone much yesterday. Still on 50% battery. A lot of the drain is because I’m on 4G/LTE and the signal fluctuates from 1-3 bars

What new messenger? Faceache messenger? If so I think it’s a phased roll out and you just have to wait. My app was updated 2days ago and isn’t any different that I can see.

WiFi connection on this beta has been absolute garbage. Constantly dropping. Back to 12.1 I go.

I’ve been having issues with FaceTime audio. Whether in just a voice call or video call, the other persons audio cuts out and I can’t hear what they said for a second. Happens several times a minute. I know it’s not my WiFi and not the other person because it happens with multiple people.

I can’t seem to find a way to maybe reset FaceTime without turning it off and back on.

Anyone have issues with airdrop from iOS 12.1.1 beta 3 to iOS 12.1?

When I try to airdrop I don’t see any iOS 12.1 devices when contacts is on. If I put everyone for airdrop I see iOS 12.1 devices?

Reported to Apple, but was wondering if anyone has this issue?

Still running into the keyboard bug after swiping up to unlock, but other than that this seems like a pretty stable beta. Cellular much better than previous .1 betas (LTE, AT&T).

Same here. using an iPhone XS. Pretty annoying bug if you ask me... I had this issue on 12.1 as well. Don't know if 12.0.x was affected as well, I've had my xs for two weeks now.

I’ve had it since the 12.0 betas, running on X, and i mean it’s understandable I guess (since the OS thinks you’ve got a failed attempt and trying to manually input your password) but it is annoying. Also random because sometimes I get it sometimes I don’t.

Not having this problem. You should try a clean install.

On iOS 11 this was not, is there any animation problem in iOS 12?
