Waiting for this on watchOS

I'm coming from iOS 12.1.1 Beta 3 on my XS Max, why is this now 2.77 Gb install? Weird

I did the same, also on Max.

Despite the listed 2.77gb install size, the amount of free space on my phone immediately after installation was 0.1gb less than immediately before. Magic! (Or, overwrote existing files with new ones that were about the same size. But I prefer to think it's magic.).

I think they were actually able to flip the switch server-side for the new carriers. Swisscom, for example, showed up as a certified eSIM on beta 3 already starting today, but it didn't until a couple of weeks ago. So the release notes are probably "incorrect" regarding eSIM, as it's just coincidental.
Because B3 is the same build as this release. Remember the release notes are for non-beta users coming from the previous iOS version. (not previous betas)

Has anyone noticed better cell reception on XR with 12.1.1? On 12.1 my XR was showing 3G and 3 bars. In the same location my iPhone 8 was showing 4G and 4 bars. Now on 12.1.1 the XR is showing 4G and 3 bars.

Seems in the beta thread there were reports of better results for the X series devices so you are probably correct. Have not really tested myself as of yet though. (I never ran the betas on my XR).

I am not able to open any site on data after updating. Looks like some dns issue as I can do a speed test and even apps can have internet. Only safari seems to have a problem. Apparently even chrome has issues resolving the page address.

Anybody else having the same issue?

I can't seem to replicate this. App switcher comes up. Even with reduced motion on. IPhone X

Dock/app delay bug still present.

Snappier than iOS 12.1.

Guys, chime in if you feel the battery is better. Too early for me to comment.

I'm aware of that. What's funny is that the Swisscom eSIM profile was recognized as "not Apple certified" in Beta 3 until a couple of weeks ago. Then yesterday, suddenly, while I still was on Beta 3, those Swisscom eSIM profiles didn't complain about not being certified anymore. And I didn't update my iPhone in the meantime.

This means there *also* is a server-side switch somewhere which allows Apple to enable new carriers. Btw, the Swisscom eSIM worked (as non-Apple-certified) in iOS 12.1 as well.

yesterday I did a Dfu restore with the itunes on my iphone 8 plus I don't think the version 12.1.1 was out yet should i update ? if I don't restore and update again i will have problems with my iphone ??? only updating what is the best way to update it from my phone or can i update it with the itunes ?? without restoring of course ... thank you verry much ...

iOS 12 mess up smart invert colours more and more with each update. The very first beta of iOS 12 was perfect, than, it add a grey colour on the passcode screen, then on 12.1 the music player in control center became white, and now, on 12.1.1 the passcode screen is also white and its almost unreadable.

I use smart colours because I'm visually impaired and I need this accessibility feature. I hope Apple will care a little by fixing those irritating bugs they added when everything was fine before.

My 8 plus still momentarily pausing within settings app and appstore app after update, was hoping this would be fixed, weird. Might reset my settings or set up as new see if that helps

this has updated Modem Firmware 1.02.18 and some carriers update too. because of firmware update, wifi, LTE issue might have been addressed in final version.
Modem firmware on my Verizon Max was 1.02.18 in beta 3 and was not updated in yesterday’s official release.

Same for carrier version Verizon 35.0.2. No change from beta 3.
