Yes, both. But they were on there prior to the 12.1.1 update yesterday. Must have changed something?
Or something related to those accounts/profiles got updated in the same timeframe perhaps?

My wife’s iPhone 8 now requires a 6 digit passcode. No longer is there an option for a 4 digit passcode. If I change the 6 digit passcode and go to options, I only have the option for an alphanumeric passcode. Never seen this before 12.1.1

She wants her 4 digit passcode back
Its still there. settings>faceID and passwords. Click on the change password option and then the menu will come up to select a 4 digit if you want.

1) First things first, make sure you understand the risks of using a shorter passcode.

2) On your iPhone, or iPad, launch the Settings app, and go to Touch ID & Passcode (this setting is called Face ID & Passcode on iPhone XS). Enter your current 6-digit passcode.

3) Select the Change Passcode option. Enter your current passcode again.

4) You will now be asked to enter your new passcode. Right above the keypad, you will notice new Passcode Options. Tap on that, then select 4-Digit Numeric Code from the popup menu.

Nope, the only option that pops up is custom alphanumeric password.
Hmm next thing I would do is reset all settings then. They haven't taken the option away though so something on your device out of sorts. @Jason B in above post has the screenshots.

Weirdly enough I picked up my phone before and it would wake when I pressed the power button. Then all of a sudden work started and it was fine.

Not sure if it's a bug but strange. Could have been a one off though.

Or because I updated my Apple watch and I had just out my iPhone next to the watch and it was updating the health app.

I am facing connectivity issue after updating to iOS 12.1.1 via OTA on mobile network only. I had posted in Help section, but feel my better chance of resolution is here. Do help guys.

I have an iPhone xs Max updated to the latest iOS 12.1.1.

Whenever I am on MobileData I am unable to connect to many websites like MacRumors, toucharcade, wired.com etc etc. I tend to play a game Clash Royale frequently.. So I know that this started happening after I updated to 12.1.1, I updated OTA.

On the other hand I am able to load lots of websites like Google, cnn etc..

My carrier network is Jio (India) if that helps. I have the same network sim on a standalone JioFi (wifi Dongle), when I connect via it.. I get all websites. So does all of my friends on the same network. So I am crossing out any network outage.

* I have uninstalled all VPN apps and removed any VPN config.
* I have done a reset of Network settings.

And yes I have rebooted numerous times. Will be honestly thankful if anybody can help

Edit:
* Tried with a different sim on the iPhone, problem exists even after reboot

I don't want to do a hard/full reset and I believe my DNS might be corrupted.. what might be my chances

iOS 12 beta was much faster and less luggy then 12.1 and 12.1.1
That's really something.
I did a clean install hundred times

Thank you immensely. After I did this on my Mac, I got a carrier settings update in iTunes.. after doing it I am getting access to everything on mobile network.

Sadly i did not get the carrier settings update previously directly on my iPhone, which I should have got.

Thanks again.. Life's good again

You can manually update carrier settings, also, by going into Settings>General>About. You might have to tap “Carrier” about 2/3 of the way down, in the “Primary” category to prompt it to update (which it will do, obviously, only if an update is available).

Has anyone by any chance noticed their device warming up while using it at times, essentially more than before?

It's something that I've only rarely experienced, but since updating my iPhone 7 to iOS 12.1.1 yesterday there have already been a few different occasions where I've noticed it getting noticeably warm while doing some fairly typical things like watching Netflix or being on a call or even at times just using Safari (things that never really resulted in that before).
I too noticed this. First time this has happened to me, must say it felt pretty strange !

I'm on the 12.1.1 BETA 3, are you saying that is faster than this retail version? People posting in here are saying the new update from apple is faster than the beta I thought.

I think he's saying that iOS 12.0 betas were faster than 12.1 and 12.1.1 are now and to be honest i also feel like that. First three iOS 12.0 betas were really really fast and snappy, since 12.0 beta 4 it's just... like 11.4 for me, nothing spectacular. Also i am using iPhone X, so that might be different on other iPhones.

Anyone having issues where getting notifications is drastically delayed? Specifically voicemail..

Well, I go think when your in a text message and you scroll to the top so it loads more of your text convo - that is seems to take LONGER TO LOAD the info above it.....

Kind of odd how it happens so randomly too.

Just used Safari a bit, checked mail, and sent some messages and then watched an already downloaded show on Netflix for about half an hour and the phone was as cold as usual, then went back to use Safari for a bit, checked mail, and got back to watching the show again, but after about 10 minutes of watching the back of phone was fairly warm.

Exited and closed all the apps and started Netflix again picking up where I left off and 10 minutes later the phone is still cold as usual.

I agree. 12.1.x just feels like a slug. 12.0.x was FAST.

As of this post my GPS is b0rked. Says I’m miles away from where I am. Reboot hasn’t fixed it. Only just noticed this on this release version.
