I think in beta 2 or 3 of ios 12, they added that washed out effect.

Right, and I struggled for like 5 minutes trying to figure out how to word that and still failed.

So, from the betas of 12 until now, wallpapers have their brightness jacked up and their contrast blown out. Are you hoping that this beta 2 reverts to an iOS 11 style presentation?

These LTE speeds are promising.. Makes me want to update now..

Public beta is often released the same day; you probably won't have long to wait unless there is a big problem in the dev beta (which is a good reason NOT to install dev betas unless you are a dev)

So very curious and interesting changes made by apple recently. I just went to update to beta 2 from my work mac (same one i always use for updates.. during the work day at least) and it failed and put my phone in basically DFU mode as it does when updates fail.. Not entirely sure as to why it failed yet. BUT interestingly.. When i plugged it in to my Win10 machine here in the office that has iTunes, i got a message that basically stated that something was wrong with my phone and an update "could" possibly fix it without and data loss or setting issues. .. and that iTunes would run an update using the most recent software from iTunes to to repair it. it went on to be pretty firm in the wording that if this "update did not resolve my issue i would be forced to restore my device as new and have to restore from a back up.
After choosing to go the update route, i had to once again confirm in a separate box that if the update process did not work i would need to restore the phone as new. Once confirmed, it immediately reached out to Apples servers and started downloading 12.0. Currently i am waiting for that download to complete.

But this is a very interesting change indeed!

Edit : managed to grab screenshots!

I wonder if the beta 2 IPSW is hosed somehow. More the reason for me to skip this update for now. :)

Better LTE speed on B2.

B2 definitely seems way more optimized for the A12, my XS is flying now. Hopefully more optimizations on the way.

*Update*

I can still see some frame drop when swiping up to go back to the home screen at times but not as much as before.

Feedback submitted to Apple again.

Exactly.

On top of my two problems with ios 12/iphone xs, I think my wifi is even more bad now.

FWIW, seems they tweaked the wi-fi band preference in Beta 2. I have a single SSID with both 2.4 and 5Ghz bands, and after the update, my XS clearly prefers the 5Ghz band. In Beta 1, it would only hop on the 5Ghz band if I was lucky (e.g. 1 out of 10 times maybe).

Please no! iOS 12 is finally perfect (regarding wallpapers).

I can get speeds up to and over those on my iPhone X on iOS 12, so I'm not sure what's so impressive.
