FWIW, seems they tweaked the wi-fi band preference in Beta 2. I have a single SSID with both 2.4 and 5Ghz bands, and after the update, my XS clearly prefers the 5Ghz band. In Beta 1, it would only hop on the 5Ghz band if I was lucky (e.g. 1 out of 10 times maybe).

Would be curious if you xs continues to hold onto the 5ghz band. I too have an xs and are experiencing the connectivity issue of the xs preferring the 2.4ghz band. Been working with apple engineers and sending in diagnostic logs as well as others on these forums. Hoping this is a fix!

Have you tried resetting network settings?
I kept having issues with LTE speeds and phone not connecting to internet, then did the fix above and is Back to normal.
I tried that and my wifi on xs is now off the charts, best results ever. But lte is 50% less, its really bad.

Fixed an issue where, with my apple watch, there was no haptic "tap" when receiving emails. To be clear, iOS 12.1 beta 2 on the iPhone fixed the behavior on apple watch - I didn't update the watch.

Notes has a new splash screen or was it in one of the earlier beta’s?
Can anyone confirm?

Anyone have an issue when using messages, you send a message and a white line flashes horizontally through the app tray that’s above the keyboard? Been happening for quite some time now.

Thx

Can anyone with an iPhone with a home button tell me if the Notification Center sliding down momentarily during unlocking still occurs?

No worries. I just wanted to be make sure I hadn't missed something.
My battery ipX has completed only 53 cycles.
Yet in beta 2 ios 12.1, the max capacity is showing 99%.
Is something wrong with battery, or 99% is normal, or is the beta 2 misbehaving.

No on a 6s. Why do you ask?
Because I have it and after initially thinking it only applied to my phone, I went to the Apple store and unlocked a bunch of iPhones which all had the same issue. Glad to hear yours doesn’t! Had you noticed it earlier or was it never there?

The phones at the Apple store have a special version of iOS that may have a bug. I tried this several times and maybe only phones with a haptic home button.

Did they finally fix FieldTest stuck on Connecting... after 5 minutes post boot on Qualcomm devices?

how is this performing on an iPhone X? is it worth installing at all in comparison to iOS 12.0? I know its revision "I" but I still want to know if its worth the install. Thanks

When attempting to “forward” an image via iMessage, the Messages app crashes upon selecting a recipient...

Feedback submitted.

I have family sharing turned on and both my daughter and myself have different apple IDs. Since updating to beta 2, she has all of my keychain passwords on her iPhone. Anyone else? That can’t be right
