iOS 12.1 Beta 3― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Im finding LTE to be better in the uk on ee maybe the new modem and carrier update has helped

How do you find it better? In what ways? Thanks.

ok so with ee 33.0 even with 12.0.1 I had call drops and lte issues, with this beta lte signal is stronger but ill need another day to test calls, ill update here, now its EE 34.0

I noticed on iOS 12 release, that indoors in a shop and other areas, my 4G signal was worse, even dropping to 3G, when with my 6S Plus I never noticed that before on iOS 12.
So I was kinda thinking it was worse for 4G. I've not had any call drops yet but that means nothing really as I actually don't make a lot of calls anyway.

Anyone having an issue with a white horizontal line through the app tray after sending an iMessage or SMS? Seems too happen when you send a txt with a second line... been happening since 12.0. Thx
 
Is anyone's lock sound and keyboard click not working? Wasn't working for me in beta 2 either.

I've been having the same issue with my iPhone XS since 12.1 beta 2. iPhone stays connected on wifi calling but my iPad and MacBook do not show option for upgrading to wifi calling. I've tried resetting the network settings and also restoring the phone from iCloud. Nothing helps.
 
Screen much less warm since updating to 12.1 beta 3 on my XS Max. I see a few others have had similar results. Are we insane? Or did Apple address the issue in this beta?
 
Chiming in on the firmware front... iPhone XS on AT&T:

Modem: 1.01.27 (from 1.01.20-1)
Carrier: AT&T 34 (from AT&T 33.5.3)

My LTE speed tanked, unfortunately. 26 Mbps down on beta 2 and averaging about 7 Mbps down with beta 3.

I don't use TrueTone and I'm also experiencing a lot more cyan than before, so I don't think anybody is insane! Or I'm also insane. I guess either way works.

1) Definitely bluer (with TrueTone). It looks good, I had felt that the Xs was a bit warm compared to my previous X.

2) This update made my LTE signal indoors at home go from "no service" (sometimes 1 bar) to always 1 bar occasionally 2. This is a big improvement. Will take a day or two to report on call quality in my fringe area. I am on T-Mobile US.
 
Beta 3 made my LTE worse. On beta 2 I was able to make calls and surf the web on LTE, after updating to beta 3, now it states “no service”, or 1 bar and useless. Sent my feedback to Apple. Hope they fix this. I’m on iPhone 6s Plus.

People are poor at remembering how things look and sound.

Like I’ve said, each screen is calibrated individually, Apple aren’t going to adjust screen calibration in a software update indiscriminately.

Y'all beta people need to report the bug with the ear piece and music that happens and needs a restart to fix.
