Small detail, but the “Model Name” field in Settings > About has been changed to match the official iPhone XR branding (featuring a small caps “R”). I think it used to be “XR” in previous beta builds.

I installed this beta 1 hour a go and it feels a little bit smooth , but they not resolved the stutter gate .. I’m seeing stutters and micro stutters when I’m opening and closing the apps ..

No micro stutters here. Have you tried backing up to iCloud or iTunes, flashing with Beta 5, then restoring from backup?

You might want to try the Backup > Flash > Restore method. That way you start from a fresh Beta 5 base rather than patching over existing code, which is what OTA delta installs do.

I will give it a try .. last time I upgraded to beta 4 and my phone was buttery smooth for a couple of hours and the next day the issue reaped.. I google it and the issue still remains . Maybe they will address this issues in beta 6 ! From my experience when apple is optimising the new models , the older flagships becoming slower and slower .. in my opinion iOS 12 was released to optimise the older models

I hope you are not referring to the “micro stutter” that some people have been whining about since iOS 11, because that’s not a real issue and it’s never going away.

So !! Xs, xs max suffers a lot ! You will see video stutters , animations glitching , frame drops , bad LTE and wi-fi performance, scroll lag , random performance on the phone, it’s like Xs, Xs max running in low power mode all of the time . The best thing it’s the battery witch is amazing ! This issues are real . My iPhone 7 is buttery smooth...

I see, you are referring to the strange lag issue on the latest iPhones, in which case I do notice that compared to my X

This exactly. My XS is in its box and has been posted on Craigslist and Letgo because Apple can’t figure out how to make them run smoothly with their new efficiency cores. I picked up an iPhone 7 (Jet Black, 128gb... perfecto) and it and my wife’s iPhone 8 are perfectly smooth.

Too bad Apple will never acknowledge this. I’ll just suffer the loss when I sell their junk on to the next person who hopefully doesn’t notice the poor performance.

Mmmmnope. Smooth like... buttur.
[doublepost=1552394078][/doublepost]So aside from the Xs or Xr in Settings > About... has anyone noticed any changes? Like, at all?

So what you’re saying is you’ve never gone into your settings to find it frozen? Never dropped frames swiping from one home screen to another or scrolling a page after unlocking? Never failed to load a page or send a message even though your WiFi or LTE indicator showed you have sufficient coverage?

Must be nice.

Noticed in Screen Time when making a change to my daughters account I was prompted to make sure her device was running the latest software (beta). Seems like there have been come changes under the hood.

The funny thing is, settings app locking up only starts happening periodically a few days after updating. 1-2 days after updating there is no locking up.

The app store is the worst offender though. That thing is beyond sluggish. Whenever I open the updates page (after having it already opened) it is locked up for 2-3 seconds until I can interact with the app.

Mine doesn't 'lock up,' it just doesn't load data. I figured it was just network congestion.
