Turn off "Search Engine Suggestions" and "Safari Suggestions" in Safari settings and it doesn't crash anymore. The bug has something to do with one of those.

It’s Search Engine Suggestions, good call.
Only when your search engine is set to Google. I don’t have this issue with Bing.

Normally I'd agree with you on this, however, the level of stability that existed in 12.2 final release was so much less stable than the betas it wasn't even close to funny. I wish the HomePods could get on betas but sadly they cannot. I've lost a lot of confidence in Apple software stability in the last 5 weeks following the 12.2 public release and dealing with their support staff in whole.

The Music app has been freezing a lot since downloading this beta. Basically locks up to the point that you have to force quit and reopen it.
Good catch! I tested on iPhone XS, iPhone X and iPad Pro 11". Safari crashed on all when search engine set to Google.
