On iOS 12.3, I've been having some flaky iMessage issues. Last night I had to unregister myself from iMessage and add it back in. Though I do think this part is related to the outage that happened last night.

Also on standard SMS, I keep getting this issue where after I send or receive a text message I see message saying "Number changed to Personal".

Can anyone confirm if you are seeing this on beta 1 or 2 of 12.4?

Really hoping this battery drain dissipates on my iPhone 10. My overall battery health is at 88% but the rate that it drains on my phone is just ridiculous. Even with little usage most of the time. The official release of 12.3 was pretty much the same deal for me.

I get that the phone is about a year and a half old now, but this is kinda excessive

Hmm... My XS Max continues to say "Your software is up to date." I tried turning the phone off and back on, but same result. Also verified that the profile is still listed in settings. Any ideas? P.S. Was able to download on my iPad like normal.

Remove beta profile. Restart. Re-download and install beta profile and try again.

Has Apple ever released a x.x beta without mentioning new feature? While Apple Card is very likely baked into this beta, I am not even sure what we are supposed to test.

I’ve been having iMessage issues as well. I’ll get a message failure alert long after hitting send, sometimes as long as 15 minutes later. Even sending as a text message fails occasionally.

This is on beta 1. Installing beta 2 now.

I’m glad I’m not the only one!!!

I've noticed that on my Apple Pay cards, it tries to show WHERE physically each transaction took place. Mine say location unavailable because they were mostly via the web and some will say in-app (like Chipotle)

My Continuity features (Handoff, Instant Hotspot, Universal Clipboard, etc.) have been broken for MONTHS both on beta and final releases. I have just been going without because I didn’t want to try signing all the way out of iCloud and back in or restoring the phone.

Patience paid off. This beta fixed it for some crazy reason. I’M A HAPPY FANBOY TODAY!

So I just sent my friend a text message, and it did not notify me that it was delivered. A few mins later it automatically was sent as a SMS. Now iMessage is not working at all

Edit: Nevermind, now it’s working

Weird. Double post.

Everything has been great so far!

I see location on iOS 12.3.

Does it look different on iOS 12.4?

Holy **** after updating from 12.3 -> 12.4b2, I notice that the overall responsiveness of the device has improved. Especially when launching apps, it's like instant now. About damn time Apple. 12.4 is shaping up to be one of the best updates yet.

I really think it’s unwise to post credit card usage data on this forum. You’ve provided your particular card, the amount of a purchase and the location of a purchase. Encryption aside, you’ve given a hacker several data points to figure out who you are, as well as info for a phishing attack.

If you’re going to post this stuff, obscure critical data!

No but please make a full update with iTunes!

Nope. It works the same as a regular iOS update for the most part. Data is left intact. Just remember that betas can have bugs so make sure you’re okay with putting up with them until they are worked out. That being said, I don’t think anyone is having any glaring issues with the current beta.

Since you're a new iOS user, it might be better to stick to the official release of iOS and hold off on the betas until you get to know the ins and outs of iOS.

Does iOS 12.4 have some feature you really need? If not, you're taking a risk (probably a very small one, but a risk nonetheless) with no benefit.
